This year is off to a great start with so many new and excited members of the Bridgeport Chapter!💙💛

Today, intro to agriculture students were introduced to Parliamentary Procedure; learning proper governance and order to a business meeting👨‍⚖️

To prepare, students had to get their chapter officer “ready” for the meeting, which included assembling their FFA Official Dress!

This years Harrison County Livestock Show was a huge success! Congrats to all the FFA 💛💙and 4h 🍀members who have dedicated months of blood, sweat, and tears into raising livestock!

Through their combined efforts, the youth of Harrison county earned over $97,000 💰 at this years auction, with a sale record market lamb going for $17,000!

It truly takes a supportive community to make these events a success, and this year Harrison county made their presence known!

An exciting first day at the Harrison County Livestock Show!

This week we have three members who are exhibiting their livestock projects💙💛

The 97th WV FFA State Convention is in the books!

Our very own Chloe Ludwick placed 🥉 in the Upperclassman Creed Speaking contest!

Recent graduate Gracie Burdette was elected to serve as the 2026-2027 North Central Region Vice President of WV FFA! 💙💛

Gracie Burdette received her state degree!

Former graduate Miyah Swiger retired from her state secretary position. She will spend the rest of the summer preparing for the National Office Candidate Process later this fall! She will also be receiving her American Degree at national convention; the first Bridgeport member to do so since 1948! 🎉

Its been a busy week with lots of walking, community service, late nights, and early mornings, but our members have represented the program proudly!

Bridgeport FFA is currently at the 97th West Virginia FFA State Convention!💙💛

Though convention is not over yet, members have hit the ground running this week. From courtesy corp, chorus, band, and Upperclassman Creed; our members have been representing our program at Cedar Lakes!

Tomorrow, we learn the results of our very own Chloe Ludwick for her creed contest. She made the cut and competed as one of the final three; reciting the FFA creed and responding to questions in front of 620 members, advisors, and guests! 🔥 Check out Chloe’s Creed Presentation in the comments below👇

💙Introducing our 2026-2027 Bridgeport Officer Team!💛📣

Maya Woofter was selected to serve as chapter President during the coming school year!

“Hello! My name is Maya Woofter, and I am serving as your 2026-2027 Bridgeport FFA Chapter President. I am a senior with a strong passion for veterinary science/medicine and aspire to be a large animal veterinarian. You can find me either training Kung- fu, reading a book, or hanging out with friends and family! My SAE explores the plant systems in which I put together my own raised bed, made make-shift pots, and planted various vegetables to harvest over the summertime. Throughout my journey in this organization, I have developed communication as well as leadership skills by being apart of committees, engaging in the planning and action of events, as well as competing in competitions such as job interview, veterinary science, and agricultural sales. During my time in FFA I have made valuable friendships, learned many life lessons, and created memories that will stick with me forever. I am so excited to serve our chapter this coming year with an amazing team, make new memories, and help others like me find their place in FFA!”

Kaedan Cox was selected to serve as chapter Vice President during the coming school year!

“Hey! I’m Kaedan Cox, your 2026-2027 Bridgeport FFA Vice President. When I’m not at school or FFA events, you can usually find me hunting, fishing, or riding dirt bikes. I have a passion to serve others, lead by example, and make everyone feel included. I’m interested in pursuing a career in agricultural sales and continuing my passion for FFA in and out of highschool! For my SAE project his year I’ve been practicing food safety and other skills working with Chick-Fil-A and applying what I can to my everyday life. I believe others as well as myself can and will make a great impact this year and I’m looking forward to every moment.”

💙Introducing our 2026-2027 Bridgeport Officer Team!💛📣

Chloe Ludwick was selected to serve as chapter Secretary during the coming school year!

“Hello, my name is Chloe Ludwick, and I am serving as the 2026 – 2027 Bridgeport High School FFA Chapter Secretary. I spent the previous year of my FFA career working towards this achievement, and I am happy to say it paid off. I won 1st place regionally, as an individual in both the Upperclassman FFA Creed Speaking and the Agriscience Fair. I also won 3rd place with my Agriculture Sales team. For my SAE projects this year, I was able so volunteer my time at the Reel Family’s dairy farm. All these achievements have helped me to fit the role that I will hold in our chapter this year. Because I am planning to purse a career in Production Agriculture, I choose to be an active member and now an engaged leader in the National Organization we know as FFA. I have not only gained exceeding knowledge and leadership skills through FFA, I have also unlocked memories I never wish to forget. Thank you Bridgeport High School for allowing me to serve as your 2026 – 2027 FFA Chapter Secretary.”
