👩‍🍳 𝗖𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘂𝗽 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗮𝘀!

After school let out in June, three Bridgeport Middle School cooks—Deanna Saliya, Michael Cabo, and Gina Stutler—traveled to Barboursville for a 𝗦𝗰𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵 𝗖𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽 sponsored by the West Virginia Office of Child Nutrition.

They learned dozens of recipes that could help us add even more made-from-scratch items to meals prepared in Harrison County Schools kitchens. They will share these recipes and cooking techniques with cooks across the county during upcoming trainings.

Now that July is here, school supplies are showing up in stores.

𝗥𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿: Harrison County Schools does not put out school supply lists.

Thanks to the kindness of our community and the continued support of the Harrison County Schools levy, our students will receive the basic classroom supplies they need to start the school year ready to learn.

We are so thankful to our voters for investing in our students, our schools, and their future. Your support helps make sure every student has what they need from day one.

𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗴𝗲𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗠𝗶𝗱𝗱𝗹𝗲 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 hosted its 𝟮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗼𝘃𝗲-𝗨𝗽 𝗗𝗮𝘆 for 5th grade students from Johnson and Simpson! 🏫✨

Our future 6th graders were welcomed by 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿𝘀 and 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘀, who helped give tours and show them around their future school.

We are excited to welcome these students to middle school soon! 💙

💙📚 𝟕𝐭𝐡 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐏𝐚𝐲 𝐈𝐭 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐚𝐭 𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐧𝐬𝐨𝐧! 📚💙

Bridgeport Middle School 7th graders in Mr. Davis’s Academic Enrichment class teamed up with first grade students at Johnson for a special Pay It Forward Community Service Project!

The students created 8 fun recreation stations for the younger students to enjoy. They also visited classrooms to read heartfelt letters of encouragement they wrote for the first graders. ✨

This project helped build friendships, spread kindness, and showed the power of supporting one another. Great job to all of the students involved! 👏
