Squaring off against 2025 KO Classic 4th performer, ๐๐จ๐ฅ๐จ๐ฆ๐จ๐ง ๐๐๐ฏ๐ฒ (NJ), in his opening appearance; Jayson countered a lat drop attempt for a takedown and nearfall in the final :35 of regulation to turn a 5-4 deficit into a 9-5 lead before going on to pick up the 9-6 decision!

The Empire Stater battled back to peel off three consecutive dubs in the consolation bracket, including respective 6-0 and 8-4 decisions in the blood round and consolation semis at the expense of Virginia's ๐๐จ๐๐ฒ ๐๐ก๐จ๐๐๐ฌ and Pennsylvanian, ๐๐ซ๐๐ง๐ญ๐ข๐๐ ๐๐ข๐ฅ๐ฅ๐๐ซ ๐๐ซ.!

Enjoying a 5-4 lead (exchange of TDs in the 1st and 2nd periods; E1s in both the 2nd and 3rd periods for Jayson) in the late stages of the 3rd period against Miller Jr. (2025 USAW 10U Folk Nationals 8th; 2025 Double USAW 10U FS/GR AA....2026 Tulsa 6th), he'd win a 50/50 scramble at the buzzer for an insurance TD (note: should have been awarded NF)....
Dodge being the lone thorn in his side this weekend; the Wolverine State entry denied Jayson the bronze!

Earning his second All-American honors of the 2025-2026 WOW circuit (previously 4th at the KO Classic); it was Syracuse native, ๐ด๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐พ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ฐ๐ฐ๐ฐ overcoming a heartbreaking quarterfinal loss by rallying for victories in three of his last four bouts to round out a solid 5-2 record that landed him in the #5 spot of the 10U 100-pound bracket!!
Headlocked in the final half-minute of the 3rd period (while leading 3-0) to drop a 5-4 decision in the championship round of 8 to PA's ๐๐๐๐ฅ๐๐ง ๐๐๐ซ๐ข๐๐ก๐จ; Wilbur responded by outing Oklahoma's ๐๐๐ฅ๐จ๐ง ๐๐๐ญ๐๐ซ๐ฉ๐๐ฎ๐ฅ (2023 KO Classic 6th) and ๐๐ฎ๐ง๐ญ๐ญ๐๐ซ ๐'๐๐๐ฅ๐ฅ (Oregon) by way of 10-0 major decision 37-second pin to lock up top-6 status!!
