Feature Friday is back and today's Alumni Spotlight is Larry Hamilton. Larry played Men's Basketball for the Purple Knights and was a member of the Class of 2007. Larry earned his B.S. in Communications and is currently working at a school in Bridgeport.

It's Feature Friday and today's Alumni Spotlight is Patrick Hall. Pat played Baseball for the Purple Knights and was a member of the Class of 1999. Pat started his coaching career here at UB as the pitching coach for 4 years and went on to coaching positions at the Division 1 level for both Fairfield University and currently as the Recruiting Coordinator and Pitching Coach at Central Connecticut State University.

We are excited to announce that we will become a member of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference in Fall 2022.
Per Official Release: The University of Bridgeport (UB) has been accepted as the newest member of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC), as announced on Wednesday, December 15, 2021, by Commissioner Dan Mara. The acceptance followed a unanimous vote by the CACC Presidents Council, as UB will become a full-time member of the conference beginning on July 1, 2022.
"The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference is excited to have the University of Bridgeport join the league," Commissioner Mara said. "UB brings to the CACC a tremendous amount of success in both athletics and academics. The institution shares the same philosophy and goals as other CACC member institutions in regards to providing a first-rate experience for student-athletes in all phases of their collegiate careers at the NCAA Division II level."
UB boasts a rich athletic tradition, and the school's administration is excited to be joining the CACC as the Purple Knights enter a new era for the institution.
"The University of Bridgeport is thrilled to accept the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference's invitation to join an exceptional group of institutions that shine both academically and athletically," said Danielle Wilken, Ed.D., president of University of Bridgeport. "We look forward to a successful partnership with the CACC that will provide more opportunities for our student-athletes to compete and excel throughout the tri-state area as well as in Delaware and Pennsylvania."
"I'm in lockstep with President Wilken's expression of our excitement in accepting the CACC's invitation to join their conference," said University of Bridgeport Vice President for Athletics Jay Moran. "I have nothing but good things to say about Bridgeport's time in the East Coast Conference, and the opportunity to join this top-notch group of institutions that make up the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference will benefit both our student-athletes and our athletic programs. This partnership is a win-win for both the University of Bridgeport and the CACC."

It's Feature Friday and today's Alumni Spotlight is Paige Pelligrini (Adamsky) Paige played Women's Soccer and Women's Lacrosse for the Purple Knights and was a member of the Class of 2015. Paige continues to be a part of the Women's Lacrosse program as an part-time Assistant Coach and is involved with both the soccer and lacrosse programs as a proud alum. Paige is a Kindergarten teacher in CT and recently celebrated her marriage to Men's Soccer alum Josh Pelligrini.

It's Feature Friday and today's Alumni Spotlight is Dr. David K Silverberg. David played Men's Basketball and Baseball for the Purple Knights and was a member of the Class of 1991. David received his Bachelor Degree from UB. David was a member of the 1990-91 Men's Basketball team that was inducted into the Athletics Hall of Fame in 2017. David is currently a Chiropractor in New Jersey.

It's Feature Friday and today's Alumni Spotlight is Gabby Valela. Gabby played Women's Lacrosse for the Purple Knights and was a member of the Class of 2015. Gabby was a Dental Hygiene major and was UB Lacrosse's first 100 goal scorer. She still ranks as the programs top goal scorer with a career 166 goals. Gabby also received her Masters in Education. Gabby is currently working as a Biology Teacher and is a dental hygienist.

Now and Then! It's postseason time! As our team gets set to play in their 11th NCAA tournament on Thursday. The l team gets ready for the ECC Conference tournament and are pursuing their 6th conference championship. We wanted to shout out the 2007 UB Women's Soccer team that made the first NCAA appearance for the Women's Soccer program. We also want to recognize the 2009 Volleyball team that won the programs first ECC Conference Championship.

It's Feature Friday and today's Alumni Spotlight is Gordon James (G). Gordon played Men's Basketball for the Purple Knights and was a member of the Class of 2005. Gordon went on to play professionally overseas. Currently, he is a P.E. teacher and a H.S. Basketball Coach.
