I’ve waited as long as I could to make this post because I don’t have the words, and I always have the words. I’ve also waited to see if maybe someone else was going to take over the Art studio like I did 3 years ago. But I mostly waited because a special student had his birthday party at the art studio yesterday, and we didn’t want him to find out his Happy Place was closing before his birthday. I hope this shows how much heart I put into the studio…that I didn’t remove any things from the studio, so he could have a normal experience here for his special day. This is how much I love the people who come in. I’m here at Makerspace listening to Madeline have the best time with kids making slime and watching a special girl I met at Positivity Club paint better than she ever knew she could. This place has been so much more than an Art studio. It has been a Home Away from Home for so many - including myself. I’m so sad to close this chapter, but I do so with no regrets. I’ve had the experience of a lifetime here. Fulfilled a dream I didn’t even know existed keeping this space open when the previous owner was closing. I am not an artist in the traditional sense…I just believed I could do anything I tried, and I was a mom who would do anything for her daughter…which 3 years ago, was to keep her Happy Place open. I’m closing this chapter with a grateful heart to every person that let me into their lives, that supported my business…that trusted me with their kids, their talents…their memories. For now, I will simply say THANK YOU.
We have 4 last Art classes (Tuesday 4-6 p.m., Wednesday 4-6 p.m., Wednesday 6:30-8:30 p.m. (13+), and Friday 4-6 p.m., and we will close Friday. 2/28. I hope to see many of you this week. Thank you for the memories. 🎨✏️❤️
