Winter the goat enjoys an afternoon snack in the Open Paddock. Open Paddocks are available during day-time hours for Green Chimneys students and non-farm staff to easily spend time amongst the miniature horses, goats and sheep. It’s a calm experience and often a welcome break from the day, both for people and the animals who enjoy the extra attention.

Each school year at Green Chimneys begins with an entertaining ROCK kick off event with games, crafts and discussions about Respect, Ownership, Communication, and Keeping safe!

ROCK is Green Chimneys’ PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) program and is an acronym for established behavior guidelines to support, encourage and recognize the use of pro-social, healthy and safe behaviors. PBIS identifies and teaches positive behavior expectations, acknowledges children and staff for demonstrating those expectations, and implements fair and consistent consequences and rewards.
