This past Saturday, we had a wonderful day welcoming our Alumni Board back to campus!

The Board started the day hearing from Josh Andrews, MSITM, who shared exciting updates on Brevard College’s Computer Science and AI Management majors. They also heard from SGA President Shea Granger, who shared a student perspective and updates on the current student experience at BC.

Throughout the meeting, the Board discussed several upcoming projects and initiatives, including Homecoming, regional alumni events, and new opportunities to engage and connect with current students.

We’re so grateful for all our Alumni Board members do for BC and for the continued time, energy, and support they give to our community. We can’t wait to see everyone back on campus for Homecoming!

🚗 Parking & Directions: Follow the event parking signs when you arrive. Parking will be available in the lot closest to the event. Please enter campus from N. Broad Street onto N. Campus Drive near the Sims Art Building, as the main campus entrance will be closed.

Josie Hester '25 has officially completed her first month as Coordinator of Leadership Giving and Alumni Engagement, and we're excited to celebrate her as part of the Brevard College Alumni Affairs and Development team! 💙🌪️

A 2025 graduate with a degree in business and a minor in psychology, Josie was a standout member of the Tornados women's basketball team before joining the coaching staff following graduation.

"I am most excited to build meaningful relationships with Brevard College alumni, community members, and supporters to benefit the College, students, athletes, and the Brevard community," Josie shared.

When she's not on campus, you'll find her exploring the outdoors with her dog, Wally, or checking out new coffee shops.

Help us congratulate Josie on her first month and continue to welcome her back to Brevard College!

Brevard College is proud to announce the recipients of the 2026 Distinguished Alumni, Distinguished Young Alumni, and Distinguished Faculty/Staff Awards. These awards recognize alumni and faculty members whose accomplishments, leadership, and service exemplify the College’s mission to Learn in Order to Serve.

Congratulations to this year’s honorees:
• Distinguished Alumna Award: Althea Dunn ’15
• Distinguished Young Alumna Award: Jessica Gomez ’19
• Distinguished Faculty and Staff Awards: Dr. Robert A. Bauslaugh and Dr. Anne Chapin (posthumously)

The honorees will be recognized during Homecoming 2026, October 16–18, on the Brevard College campus.
