Today was a special day at our FFA farm. The farm was dedicated and renamed “The Carroll Parker Livestock Learning Center.” Mr. Carroll Parker taught agriculture at Brevard High School, was an active member of the Brevard FFA Alumni, and an advocate for agriculture in Transylvania County. Mr. Parker passed away this past year and we wanted to honor his legacy of his teaching style of hands-on learning and his passion for the farm at BHS. Mr. Jay Case did an amazing job designing and creating the sign that sits at the entrance of the farm. Thank you to all who attended today’s dedication ceremony at the farm to honor a legendary man who had so much passion and devotion to our program.
