Not ready to write their name independently yet? That’s okay. 💛

One of my favorite tricks is to grab a highlighter, write the child’s name for them, and let them trace right over the top.

They get to practice letter formation, pencil control, and writing—without the pressure of having to do it all independently.

This works beautifully with our Writing Prompts + Journals, and they’re included in the Little Learning Corner Membership each month!

Simple prompts like this are a great way to help kids get comfortable sharing their ideas through writing.

Not ready to write independently yet? That’s okay! Kids can draw a picture, trace a sentence written in highlighter, or use the color vocabulary cards to help them find the words they need. 💛💙💜
