Camp Kahdalea for Girls & Camp Chosatonga for Boys are two separate North Carolina camps about a mile apart in location but very close in fellowship. In the Blue Ridge Mountains, these camps have wonderful in-camp programs as well as great mountain adventure programs. We are known for our unusually wonderful staff who believe in goodness and make it work in this culture. (7-year old girls are acce

pted in our girl's introductory session.) Each camp has its own dining hall and lodge, recreation areas, cabins, lake, and various other facilities that make camping with Kahdalea & Chosatonga FUN and an adventure! The camps are nestled deep within the Pisgah National Forest and are at an altitude of nearly 3,000 ft, providing a rustic and tranquil environment that has not been touched by the busy life of urban America. Our kitchens and dining hall are "Grade A" facilities which provide nutritious food for active youngsters. Our other camp facilities include climbing walls, athletic fields, arts and crafts areas, a high ropes course, riflery and archery ranges, five tennis courts, riding facilities, a gymnasium, nature trails and campsites, as well as many other places to explore and discover.

It’s a bird, it’s a plane, no, it’s Capture the Flag! 💚 What starts as a beloved camp game quickly turns into an all-out adventure. Running, strategizing, cheering, sneaking through the woods, and defending your flag with everything you’ve got; Capture the Flag brings out the very best of the Chosatonga spirit.

The competition is fierce, the energy is high, and Chosmen come alive as teams race through the woods, work together, and give it their all. There’s nothing quite like Capture the Flag at Chosatonga!

Introducing Kids to Camp! 🏕️
Two CKC alumni, Paxton (Will) Murphy and Sarah Grace Stafford, founded a nonprofit earlier this year with a simple but powerful goal: sending kids to camp who otherwise wouldn't have the opportunity.

As both campers and counselors at CKC for many years, Paxton and Sarah Grace saw firsthand the value of week-long summer camps in nature — and the financial need to meet families where they are to make that experience possible.

This summer, they sent their very first camper to Chosatonga, and we cannot wait to see how their nonprofit continues to grow! 🌲✨

One week since Closing Day of our Main Session, and our hearts are still so full. 💚

Summer 2026, thank you for a season we will treasure forever. From the laughter and friendships to the countless moments of joy, this summer was filled with memories we’ll carry with us always.

The words of Jesus in John 16:33 remain a beautiful reminder of what made this summer so special: “In me you may have peace… be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” Through every moment, that peace and joy were at the heart of CKC.

We are incredibly grateful for every camper, family, and staff member who made this season so special. Thank you for being part of the CKC story and for making Summer 2026 a summer to remember. Until next summer!

One Quest, two stories, and endless adventure. 🐼👑

This year's Chosmen and Kahdaladies trained with Po and journeyed through Florin, proving that courage, teamwork, and a little determination can conquer just about anything.

At Camp Kahdalea and Camp Chosatonga, campers are encouraged to “Choose the Hard Right.” Whether it’s telling the truth when it’s difficult, including someone who feels left out, or giving their best effort when unexpected challenges arise, campers learn that character is built through the choices we make every day.

Our core value “Choose the Hard Right” means having the courage to do what is right even when it would be easier not to. It’s about showing integrity, putting others before yourself, and standing firm in your faith and values when faced with difficult decisions. Campers discover that real strength is not found in comfort or convenience, but in choosing kindness, honesty, and perseverance even when the path is harder.

Through adventures on the trail, teamwork in the cabin, and moments of growth throughout the summer, campers learn that doing the hard right often inspires others to do the same. Here, they build confidence, deepen their faith, and discover that the right choice – though sometimes difficult – is always worth it.

What an incredible week of adventure! 🌲🚣🚴🧗 We've hiked through Pisgah National Forest, sharpened our paddling skills at Wolf Creek Lake, biked the trails at Pleasant Ridge Park, climbed at Big Rock, and spent each day exploring God's incredible creation. We're so grateful for the memories made, the challenges conquered, and the beauty we experienced together.
