Brethren, Officers, and Friends,
Last night, we gathered in the fellowship of this sacred and time-honored institution. I want to take a moment to reflect on the year we have shared—one marked by labor, unity, charity, and genuine brotherly love. It has been my profound honor and blessing to serve as the 119th Master of this lodge, and I stand here today with a heart full of gratitude.
To our officers:
Your dedication, your vigilance, and your willingness to put your hands to the work have been the steady pillars supporting every success we have achieved. You have exemplified what it means to lead by example—quietly, faithfully, and with dignity befitting the Craft. From the bottom of my heart, I thank each of you for your service.
This year, we showed what it truly means to be Masons in action. When Hurricane Helene struck, our lodge did not hesitate. We organized, we gathered supplies, and we distributed them to those most in need. We opened our doors and our hearts, providing free breakfasts to anyone affected. We offered comfort, food, and fellowship—simple acts, yet powerful reminders that our teachings are meant to be lived, not merely recited.
Within our own walls, we accomplished a great deal as well. We undertook significant administrative clean-up, modernized and streamlined our record-keeping, and strengthened the internal foundation upon which our lodge stands. These efforts, though often unnoticed, ensure that future generations will inherit a house of order, efficiency, and clarity.
And speaking of our house, we invested ourselves in renovating the lodge, transforming it into a space that is more warm, inviting, and comfortable for all who enter. The physical improvements reflect the spiritual improvements we’ve made together—building not just a better lodge, but a stronger, more united brotherhood.
This year, we also deepened our ties with the Grand Lodge of North Carolina, strengthening a partnership grounded in respect, mutual support, and shared purpose. Through collaboration and friendship, we affirmed our place within the larger Masonic family and ensured that our voice, our values, and our work continue to contribute to the greater good.
But perhaps most meaningful of all, we drew closer to one another. We strengthened the bonds that make our fraternity unique. We laughed together, labored together, supported one another, and walked side-by-side through challenges and triumphs alike. The true light of Masonry is found in these connections—in the way we lift each other up and grow together as men and as brothers.
Brethren, every accomplishment this year was made possible because you cared—because you showed up, you worked hard, and you believed in the mission of this lodge. I am humbled by your trust and enriched by your companionship.
As I close, let me say this:
Serving as your 119th Master has been one of the greatest honors of my life. I am grateful for every moment, every memory, and every lesson. May we continue to build upon the foundation we laid this year, always striving to be better men, better brothers, and better servants of humanity.
Thank you, brethren.
May the Great Architect of the Universe continue to guide our steps and bless this lodge now and in all the years to come.
