What a busy week for Mark Twain PTO! 💜💛

We’ve been busy getting ready to welcome everyone back to school! From our Back-to-School BBQ, to stocking the teachers’ lounge, to decorating for those special first-day photos, it’s been a fun and exciting week!

MTE PTO is so excited to welcome our newest kindergarteners and new MTE families with “Welcome to Mark Twain” signs!

Seeing those BIG smiles on their faces made our hearts so happy! 💜 We can’t wait to see all of our new friends (and familiar faces!) back at school!

Join the Mark Twain Elementary PTO for our Back-to-School BBQ August 20, 2026 5p-6:30p!

Bring your school supplies to drop off in your classroom, then head outside to celebrate with hamburgers, hot dogs, and time with friends and families before the new school year begins.
If you reserved an MTE Leadership T-shirt, you’ll be able to pick it up at the BBQ. We will also have a limited number available for purchase while supplies last.

We can’t wait to kick off an amazing new school year with all of our Mark Twain families. See you there!

Day 4: Happy Trails & Tasty Bait Bar was a huge hit!

Check out this amazing spread! Every teacher received a fun “snackle box” filled with treats and goodies to enjoy throughout the day. As an extra special surprise, the PTO brought in the Coffee Culture Truck to serve up delicious midday coffee drinks for our incredible teachers and staff! ☕✨

Day 2 at Camp Mark Twain brought the fiesta spirit as we celebrated Cinco de Mayo with a special lunch from Dr. Eastabrook! The PTO added an extra treat by surprising our amazing teachers and staff with Nothing Bundt the Best—delivering delicious Bundtinis right to their classrooms. A sweet way to show our appreciation!

Our Mark Twain Elementary 3rd graders had an amazing trip to Jefferson City, where they explored the beautiful Missouri State Capitol, toured the Missouri Governor’s Mansion, and learned all about Missouri’s rich history.

Huge thank you to our PTO and incredible 3rd grade teachers for making this experience so special!
