Way to go, Emma! 💕

Emma spent this weekend competing at the Central Florida Highland Games. She had large categories both days - 11 competitors on Saturday and 9 on Sunday!

On Saturday, she walked away with a 3rd place and a 1st place! 🥉🥇We’re proud of her for getting out there and trying her best, especially with some new movements she’s never performed before.

On Sunday, she earned a 6th place in a BRAND NEW DANCE 💕, a 3rd place and a 2nd place! 🥉🥈 We are so proud of her for holding her own, and representing SSOHD so well!

Thank you to the dance friends and fellow teachers who took her under their wing this weekend, to make sure she felt loved and supported 💕 It truly does take a village 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

It’s becoming a Christmas Tradition 🎄

We were so honored to have TWELVE of our dancers perform for the Christmas Ceilidh at 💕 It was an evening filled with Hot cocoa, cookies, and lots of laughter. More pictures and video to come later!

🏔️ DAY 2 - STONE MOUNTAIN HIGHLAND GAMES

Charlie rallied for a second performance as one of our primary dancers and earned two bronze medals 🥉🥉

We are also super proud of our premier dancer, Charlotte. She danced a full weekend of new dances with 10 other talented dancers. Especially since this was her 2nd competition as a premier dancer - We are so proud of her for holding her own with grace and maturity, as well as putting her best foot forward 💕

We are EXHAUSTED - But grateful for the opportunity to do what we love 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Thank you everyone for all of your love and support!

🏔️ DAY 1 - STONE MOUNTAIN HIGHLAND GAMES

We had a LONG but successful day at the 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Charlie competed as a primary and earned two 4th place medals 🏅 🏅

Lorelai competed as a beginner FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER and also earned a 4th place medal 🏅

Charlotte competed in TWO new dances today for the very first time - She had a tough age group with a lot of talented dancers, but she still walked away with a special 8th place prize in the Village Maid Challenge ❤️

As a teacher, I cannot say enough how proud I am of these girls. They have each worked so hard and grown tremendously over the last several months 💕

We also got to cheer for .zirconium with the . While we can’t take credit for her dancing, we’ve really enjoyed having her join us for studio lessons over the last month or so. Emily - BEAUTIFUL dancing today, and congratulations on your wins! 🏆 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Now, we sleep 😴 And try to do it all again tomorrow!

Special Thanks to Kathy Geesey and Clan Sinclair USA - They have been one of our biggest supporters over the last several years. For , they made the kids a giant picnic basket of goodies and snacks, along with a card to wish them good luck at the dance competition. 💕 The girls were blown away by your kindness and support, and they were super thankful for the treats! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Hope we made you proud! 🥹

Merritt competed FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER and walked away with three bronze medals 🥉 🥉 🥉 We are so proud of her for being so brave and trying her best! 💞

Emma won five gold medals and the overall trophy for her beginner category!

Additionally - Emma won two special prizes. She won a 2nd place trophy for a Trophy Fling challenge, and then she was awarded a Special Pair of Swords for the Most Promising Beginner Dancer award 🏆 ⚔️

Cadence won one bronze medal, four gold medals, and the overall trophy for her category 🥉 🥇 🥇 🥇 🥇 🏆

Additionally, Cadence won another special prize - She won a 2nd place trophy for a Trophy Fling dance-off. 🏆

Lastly, Charlotte competed as a Premier Dancer FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER ⭐️ She had a really tough group with lots of talented dancers, but she won two fourth place medals and three bronze medals 🥉 🥉 🥉

Additionally, Charlotte competed in a special Scotch Measure Challenge for all premier dancers and received a 6th place 💕

We are so proud of our girls for dancing so beautifully at our home games 🥰 Thank you everyone for all of the love and support!
