Hey 8th grade families! We are excited to meet you on Tuesday at the 8th Grade Family Night. If you are looking for more information on Ag and getting your student involved in FFA please join us for a event before the schools scheduled event! We will have students and advisors to talk about the program, classes, and opportunities! We have moved this event from the school farm to classroom E8 because of recent weather. Please reach out to [email protected] if you have any questions! We are excited to meet you!!

With local crab season uncertainties, boosters have chosen to change their crab feed to a new surf and turf dinner fundraiser event!!!

Please join us February 10th at the Contra Costa County Fairgrounds for the first Brentwood FFA Boosters Surf and Turf dinner!! There will be a no host wine and beer bar, silent auction, dessert auction, and live DJ! Funds raised will go to help provide experiences for students in the FFA program. Students will be able to sell tickets and earn credit for doing so. If you are wanting to purchase a large number of tickets, please visit LHS room F3 on January 18th from 5:30-6:30 pm. If you have questions on purchasing tickets please contact Ms. Johnston at [email protected] or reach out to a Brentwood FFA student! We look forward to seeing you there!

Don’t forget about our chapter meeting tonight! Bring a friend who is interested in joining FFA! Guests should be current LHS students grades 9-11 and have their school ID with them. We look forward to meeting new potential members!

Check out our holiday fundraiser for the Floral Design class! Get your wreath this year though our students and support class materials and experiences! Check out the order form attached and order by a November 30th. Email [email protected] with any questions!

We are so excited for the Brentwood FFA Boosters Crab Feed this school year! Save the date in your calendar as this will sell out quick with only 300 tickets available. Tickets will go on sale later this year but we want to be sure you have this date down! Hope to see you there on February 10th!

Don’t forget about our Livestock Contract meeting tomorrow night in the LHS Cafeteria at 6:00pm. This meeting is mandatory for any student who wants to show an animal through Brentwood FFA at the county fair this year. Even if you are unsure, we encourage you to attend to learn more! Students must bring a parent/guardian with them to be eligible to participate. Hope to see you there!

Only two more days to purchase pies for our FFA pie fundraiser! Head to the LHS webstore to purchase and be sure to enter a students name for them to receive credit. 8 great flavors that include Apple, Apricot, Dutch Apple, Boysenberry, Mixed Berry, Peach Cobbler, Strawberry Rhubarb, and Pumpkin!! Each pie is $20, comes frozen, is 10 inches in diameter, and is made by The Pie Company of Ripon, Ca. Pies can be purchased on the LHS web-store using the link in our Instagram Bio. Pies will be available for pick up on Thursday November 17th from 6:30-7:30pm in the Spruce St parking lot. Reach out to an FFA member or Ag Advisor with any questions!!

Congrats to our Best Informed Greenhand team on placing 1st at the sectional contest today! Shout out to Kaycee Knott for placing 1st and Delila Clausen for placing 5th overall. Also a great job to our Cooperative Marketing team for placing 3rd with Violet Stevens placing 2nd individually! Good job to everyone who participated and thank you for hosting the contest today!
