A new Seek and Find has sprouted at Brentwood Library! Kids 2-12 who find all the hidden pictures of these California native plants can return their sheet to the desk for a small prize.

All of these beautiful plants can be found in our awesome East Bay Regional Park District . Let us know if you find any while exploring this summer!

Storytime with AAC

Build your child's communication skills through shared reading! Storytime with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems aims to support families/caregivers of emergent communicators by demonstrating language using AAC systems, helping children develop a love of reading and building language through shared interaction and connection.

This event is intended for those who are learning to communicate using AAC systems. All ages and abilities are welcome.

This summer, "Plant a Seed, Read!" From June 1- August 1 sign up with Beanstack to track your reading or visit your local library to pick up a paper passport. Everyone who completes summer reading wins prizes, including a free book, and is entered in a drawing for a chance to win more amazing prizes.

Stories That Dance: Live Storytelling

FREE TICKETS REQUIRED DUE TO SPACE LIMITATIONS. Tickets will be given out Tuesday, May 19, 2026 at 3:40 p.m., in front of Brentwood Library. Attendees must be present to receive ticket.

Laya Arts Collective presents a live storytelling and dance performance rooted in Indian mythology and folktales. Perfect for ages 2-12. In the Brentwood Library Community Room, located in the children's area. To request special accommodations, please contact the Library with three days notice.
