Guitarlina School of Music is a fast growing, multiple award winning music school in the city of Brentwood in Northern California.

We teach students music theory, music appreciation, instrumentation, and performance. We teach all musical instruments - strings, brass, percussion, wind, and piano.

Guitarlina is therefore in search of a high performing, knowledgeable, talented, and fun individual who enjoys teaching music, loves kids, and enjoys a fast paced and mentally challenging environment.

Required Work Experience
- At least 5 year teaching music experience a plus.
- At least 3 year experience working with children in formal.

Skills/ Qualifications
- Is proficient in playing at least one musical instrument.
- Proficient in music theory.
- Able to excellently communicate with little children and parents in a professional manner.
- Able to work well with kids in a relaxed environment.
- Patience and kindness highly required.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Excellent customer service.
- Ability to communicate and collaborate with parents to bring out the best in students.
- Fast Learner required.
- Willing to learn to play new instruments.
- Able to teach oneself how to play instruments.
- Enthusiastic learner and teacher
- Punctuality
- Excellent time management

Education
- A B.A in a music related field is a must
- An A.A. in a music related field is acceptable.
- Completed or in-progress music related degree a possibility.

Job Type:
Part time to become full time.

Compensation:
$25 - $30/ hour (Biweekly)
Job Location:
Brentwood, CA
Required license or certification:
Valid Driver's License

**Must be willing and able to undergo and pass a background check.

We just concluded our Christmas show on Saturday and it was beautiful, inspiring and a very special occasion. Children singing their hearts out to the Lord and so much Christmas caroling! Simply outstanding! Such a blessing to listen to!
