Tiny Toes Preschool is a looking to for two fun, loving teachers to our growing center!

Our primary goal is for children to feel safe and secure. Prior to being independent, a child must know that he or she can depend on adults and a predictable environment. Children are treated with respect and kindness. We recognize that children develop at different rates, and have different interests. Small group size and appropriate teacher-child ratios allow for meeting the individual needs of each child.

Children learn through play. From birth, children are active participants in building their own understanding. They do this by experimenting, observing, and participating with other children and adults.

Our living and learning environment is designed to meet the overall needs of children and to facilitate their development through age-appropriate experiences. Due to the individuality of each child expectations vary; each child is challenged, but not hurried.

At Tiny Toes Preschool, children are given the opportunity to explore materials and participate in a variety of experiences. Activities are carefully planned and implemented in an open classroom setting. Children are free to choose from age-appropriate activities including art, music, language development, pre-math skills, science and nature, and dramatic play. Children develop self-esteem, independence, and problem-solving skills as they make choices and assist in planning the environment and the activities.

Teacher Qualifications:

Must be 18 years, or older
At least 12 ECE units

CPR Certified

Fingerprinted, and able to pass background clearance

Must be able to manage a class of 12 children for the wellbeing of all
Must be able to lift and move up to 30 pounds (children) reach, bend, squat, and kneel

Ability to work fast, and diligently

Good communication

Experience desired, but not required

Job Responsibilities:
Supervising children and attending to their everyday needs, physically and emotionally
Plan curriculum, and assist in setting up the learning environment
Lead circle, and guide the children in their growth and development

Changing diapers, and assist with potty training, as needed
Observing children in their daily routines, and guide them when needed
Maintaining positive relationships with the teachers, parents, and children

Light janitorial duties

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: based on experience.
