Today, we celebrate two remarkable leaders whose dedication continues to strengthen our schools and inspire our community. 💚💛

Trustee Eileen Harman was honored by the Nassau-Suffolk School Boards Association with the Outstanding School Board Service Award, recognizing her unwavering dedication to public education and the students and families of Brentwood.

A retired Brentwood educator, Ms. Harman has devoted her life to this community. Her warmth, wisdom and genuine care for others have made a lasting impact on generations of students, staff and families. She leads with heart, always keeping children at the center of every decision.

We also congratulate Board President Eileen Felix on her appointment to NSSBA’s Executive Committee. This well-deserved appointment reflects her strong leadership, tireless advocacy and commitment to expanding opportunities for students both in Brentwood and across our region.

Congratulations, Ms. Harman and Ms. Felix. Thank you for your service, your leadership and your belief in the power of public education.

Long Island high school marching band headed to DC for parade FOX 5 NY's Jodi Goldberg has more.

BWOOD STAND UP! 💚🥁🎵✨

The Green Machine marching band has been invited to march in the National Memorial Day Parade as part of America’s 250th celebration, an incredible honor that reflects the talent, dedication and pride of our students and staff. Even more exciting, they are one of only two bands selected to perform during the national pre-show before the parade begins.

From Brentwood to the national stage, our students will represent this community with pride while honoring the meaning and spirit of Memorial Day. The pre-show starts at 9 a.m. on May 25 and the parade begins at 10 a.m. We can’t wait to cheer them on as they showcase what Brentwood is all about.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to every voter, volunteer, supporter, educator, staff member, parent, student, family member, and community resident who believed in us and showed up for Brentwood.

This victory belongs to all of us.

Your support for our ticket, the budget, and the propositions sends a clear message that Brentwood believes in progress, opportunity, and putting students first. We are incredibly humbled by the trust you’ve placed in us once again.

Thank you to everyone who made calls, knocked on doors, shared posts, put up signs, encouraged neighbors to vote, and stood beside us throughout this campaign season. Your hard work and belief in our mission never went unnoticed.
