I found some information on DYSCALCULIA

If maths feels mysteriously hard for your child — even when they’re trying their best — it might not be “carelessness” or “not concentrating”. It could be dyscalculia: a real, brain-based learning difference that affects how a young person processes numbers, quantity, and maths concepts.

And here’s the part I want you to hear loud and clear: dyscalculia isn’t a reflection of intelligence. It’s not laziness. It’s not a lack of effort.

Many young people quietly carry shame around maths, masking their struggles until anxiety takes over. But with the right supports (and the right adults), maths can become less scary, more accessible, and far more manageable.

I thought this was a good share on DYSPRAXIA

Dyspraxia is often misunderstood. A child may know exactly what they want to do, but their brain finds it harder to plan, organise, and carry out the movements needed to get there. What can look like clumsiness, forgetfulness, poor organisation, or a lack of effort is often a brain-body communication difference that requires extra energy every single day.

Children with Dyspraxia (Developmental Coordination Disorder) are not lazy, careless, or unmotivated. They are often working much harder behind the scenes than others realise. Understanding the challenges they face can help us replace frustration with support, protect self-esteem, and create environments where strengths can shine.

Fun ideas for the summer. We use sensory bins to keep kids attention and to make learning more interesting. Stay tuned for ways of using these with kids.
