We’re on a mission to raise $750 to provide staff with delicious coffee on Monday, May 4th in honor of Teacher Appreciation Week.

At BMS, the Positive Outreach Planning Committee is dedicated to creating a culture where staff feel supported, valued, and connected—because we know that when teachers thrive, students succeed.

💡 Research backs it up:
Studies show that schools with high staff morale and strong collegial relationships see better student outcomes. According to the Learning Policy Institute, positive working conditions for educators—including collaboration, support, and recognition—are directly linked to improved student achievement and teacher retention. When teachers feel encouraged and appreciated, they bring that energy into the classroom. (Ingersoll et al., 2017)

📣 Support Brenham Middle School Teachers! 🍎💚

The BMS P.O.P. (Positive Outreach Planning) Committee is kicking off the year by showing some love to our amazing staff! We’re collecting prize donations to reward teachers for their dedication and hard work later this month.

🎉 Our first big event? The annual Back-to-School Lock-In on July 31st— at this event, teachers “spend the night” at school prepping classrooms to welcome students with open arms on the first day!

We’re looking for:
🎁 Gift cards
🧴 Self-care items
☕️ Coffee or snack baskets
📦 Classroom supplies
…and anything else that would make a teacher smile! Attached is an Amazon wishlist loaded with ideas and possibilities.
