🏗️ Brenham ISD Bond Program Update | September 2026

Bond priorities are becoming projects.

At the September Board meeting, Rice & Gardner shared updates on the three major areas currently driving Bond 2025 work: interiors, roofing and MEP/HVAC projects.

Here’s where things stand:

✅ Krause Elementary flooring moving into bidding
✅ Krause remediation planned for Thanksgiving break
✅ Krause and BES flooring installation planned over Christmas break
✅ Six campuses currently under roofing design
✅ Approximately $9.5 million in roofing scope currently being developed
✅ Approximately $7.5 million in MEP work being planned through summer 2027
✅ Alton Elementary chiller replacement planning underway
✅ Immediate Cub Field House HVAC needs being addressed

As professional assessments turn into project scopes, designs and schedules, Brenham ISD will continue sharing both what is happening and why.

💚 Bringing the Brenham Spirit! 📣

Our Brenham High School Cheerleaders and Belles visited our elementary campuses and ECLC today for their annual pep rallies! This yearly tradition is a favorite for our younger students, filling their schools with cheers, smiles, and Brenham pride.

Thank you to our Cheerleaders and Belles for spreading school spirit and giving our youngest students something to cheer about! 💚

🤖 Technology is helping our students stay connected!

With a VGo robot provided by Region 6, a Krause Elementary student can join the classroom from home using an iPad. The student can move the robot around, talk with teachers and classmates, and even flash its lights to “raise a hand”!

During the introduction, our student learned the controls quickly and was soon exploring the camera and parking the robot on its charging dock independently. What a great example of curiosity and problem-solving in action!

Thank you to Region 6, our Brenham ISD Special Services Department, and our technology team for helping make this classroom connection possible! 💚

A wonderful community event this past week! 💚

There was something special about seeing Cub Stadium filled for a different purpose this week.

I had the opportunity to attend Fields of Faith 2026, and it was a beautiful evening in Brenham. As the sun went down over Cub Stadium, students, parents, staff, community members, and local leaders came together for an evening centered around fellowship, reflection, and faith.

Our stadium hosts a lot of memorable moments throughout the year, from Friday night football and band performances to track meets, graduation, and community events. I always enjoy seeing it become a gathering place for our community in another way.

One of the things I value most about Brenham is the way people show up for one another. Whether it is in our schools, at the Fairgrounds, downtown, in our churches, or under the lights at Cub Stadium, there is a strong sense of community here that makes Brenham a special place to live, work, and raise a family.

I enjoyed visiting with members of our community and seeing so many familiar faces throughout the evening. I am also grateful to everyone who invested their time and energy into bringing Fields of Faith to Brenham and creating an opportunity for those who chose to attend to gather together.

A beautiful sunset, a great crowd, and another reminder of just how special this community is.
