Meet Mrs. Amy Schramm, who teaches music to every Citadel student from PreK through 8th grade.

In her classroom, students sing, play instruments, read and write music notation, and listen to beautiful music from different eras and countries. She loves the light bulb moments when a student finally grasps something new, and she loves seeing the joy music brings to our kids.

We asked what she hopes her students remember ten years from now. Her answer: โ€œHow much Jesus loves them and that our music and worship bless Him and give Him the glory due His name.โ€

Her advice to parents: โ€œPray for and with your child, pray for the teachers, and pray for yourself.โ€

Outside of school, Mrs. Schramm loves to cook and bake for family and friends (sourdough is her current favorite) and spends time in her garden.

Thank you, Mrs. Schramm, for all that you do!

Meet Mrs. Collena Jantzi, who teaches every subject in our 4th grade classroom.

We asked her what she hopes her students remember ten years from now. She said, "How much I loved them."

Her favorite part of the day is teaching Bible, and she loves watching God grow her students in their love for Him, their character, and their work. Her classroom revolves around loving Jesus and practicing being His hands and feet to others. She also loves the hands-on side of classical education and getting her students outside whenever she can.

Her advice to parents: "Be a parent, not a best friend. Don't be afraid to teach your child to do hard things."

Outside of school, Mrs. Jantzi runs, reads, and spends as much time outdoors as possible. Her favorite children's book is ๐ฝ๐‘œ๐‘’๐‘™: ๐ด ๐ต๐‘œ๐‘ฆ ๐‘œ๐‘“ ๐บ๐‘Ž๐‘™๐‘–๐‘™๐‘’๐‘’.

Thank you, Mrs. Jantzi, for all you give to our students and families.

A quick reminder: Early giving is now open for Brazos Valley Gives.

When you give to Citadel Christian School, youโ€™re helping us provide students with an education rooted in truth, goodness, beauty, and a biblical worldview.

The official Brazos Valley Gives day is Tuesday, October 20, but you can give now during the early giving period.

Thank you to everyone who has already supported Citadel, prayed for our school, and shared our mission with others. We are grateful for your partnership as we work to equip students for a life of faithfulness, wisdom, and service.

What if math pointed to God's order? What if history revealed His providence? What if literature opened the door to the gospel?

Classical Christian education holds all truth together, because all truth is God's truth. Every subject, every discipline, every question points back to the same Author.

Education that begins with God doesn't just prepare students for college; it prepares them for eternity.

This Labor Day, we give thanks for honest work, for those whose labor sustains our households and communities, and for the gift of rest that reminds us that all our work finally depends upon the providence of God.
