There’s a different quality to learning when you have the space to step away from your usual routine and fully immerse yourself in the work.

When you join us for the NL Practicum, you’ll spend four days alongside horses, experienced NL trainers, and fellow practitioners who are here to deepen their practice.

You’ll have time to practice. To observe. To reflect. To facilitate. To notice what unfolds when you give yourself the space to truly be in the work.

Come spend the days with us.

You know you are safe, yet you brace. You understand what happened, yet your nervous system still reacts.

This is part of why trauma processing requires more than understanding the story.

The Principles of Trauma Processing offers practitioners an embodied framework for understanding how trauma is experienced and reenacted through the body—and how the practitioner and horse can support the process of resolution.

There are things you can understand by reading about them. And then, there are things you only really understand once you’ve experienced them.

The relationship between horse and human is one of them.

At the NL Practicum, you get to step into the work and experience Natural Lifemanship in real time, alongside horses and experienced NL trainers.

Over four days, you’ll practice, observe, receive guidance, and discover what changes when you have the opportunity to work through the moment rather than simply talk about it.

Come experience the work for yourself.

The work you've begun in Natural Lifemanship has a place to deepen. The Intensive gives you space to move from understanding the principles toward living them more fully through practice, guidance, and deeper observation of the horse in front of you.

The training starts today, and enrollment closes tonight. With only two Intensive opportunities each year, this is your last chance to join this cohort.

If you've been waiting for the right moment, this is it. Don't miss this opportunity to deepen the work you've already begun.

Some of the most important work in therapy happens before anyone says a word.

At NL Counseling and Wellness, you might notice the land first. Rolling hills, a pond catching the sky, birds calling somewhere overhead. There is no rush to perform or explain when you arrive. You are simply invited to settle, orient, and notice what it feels like to be here.

Sometimes that stillness includes a horse, one who is not there to fix you, only to respond to what is real. What that actually looks like, and why it works, might surprise you.

How do you know if you're ready for the Intensive?

The Fundamentals already introduced you to the principles. If you're ready to explore what those principles look like in real practice, with guidance and a community alongside you, the Intensive may be your next step.

Many practitioners discover that the deeper they go into their own growth, the more naturally they begin recognizing opportunities for connection, attunement, and healing in every session.

That's exactly what the NL Intensive is designed to cultivate: a deeper understanding of yourself, your clients, and the practice itself through personal growth, experiential learning, and guided mentorship.

If Erica’s experience resonates with you, perhaps it's time to see what becomes possible in your own practice.

This work brings more questions than any of us should have to answer alone.

Some questions emerge in the middle of a session. Others stay with us long after it ends. Many don't have simple answers, and that's part of what makes this work so meaningful.

The Natural Lifemanship Intensive gives you a place to explore those questions alongside practitioners who are learning, reflecting, and growing right beside you.

Come experience what becomes possible when learning happens in relationship.

Every horse brings its own experience, history, needs, and reality into a relationship.

And learning to become curious about that reality can change the way we practice.

If you missed Being a Student of the Horse, the replay is now available.
Bettina Shultz-Jobe explores what happens when we stop choosing between the client's experience and the horse's experience—and learn to hold both.

A client's interpretation of a horse can reveal something deeply important about their inner world. But it isn't the whole story.

The horse matters.

And the client matters.

Most people think the Intensive is about becoming a better facilitator.

They're right.

But what rarely gets talked about is how the work begins to change the person doing the facilitating.

As your own awareness deepens, every relationship you build is shaped by that experience.

Experience the part of the Intensive that practitioners rarely expect. Learn more and choose the path that's right for you. ➡️ https://naturallifemanship.com/intensive
