🎉 WHAT A WEEK Brenham ISD! 🎉

Before our doors even opened, our incredible staff attended in-service training and prep days—learning, planning, and getting everything ready to make this school year our best one yet. 🧠💪

Then, our students arrived, and our amazing crews went to work doing what they do best: fueling bright minds! 🍎🍕

Great news for Brenham ISD families! 🥳 We are proud to announce that we will continue participating in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) for the 2026-2027 school year! 💚
What this means for your family:

✅ Breakfast is FREE for all students every day.
✅ Lunch is FREE for all students every day.
✅ No meal applications or income paperwork needed!

Nutritious meals are a vital part of student success, and we are excited to ensure every child in our district has equal access to food at no charge.

🌱 Congratulations to one of our incredible Child Nutrition team leads from Alton Elementary School, Gabbie Salazar, for representing Brenham ISD this week at the Texas Department of Agriculture Farm Fresh Culinary Workshop at the Culinary Institute of America in San Antonio!

This amazing opportunity brought together school nutrition professionals from across Texas to strengthen culinary skills, explore fresh farm-to-school recipes, and discover new ways to serve healthy, delicious meals to students.

We’re especially proud to share that her team earned the Dream Team Award—a testament to their collaboration, creativity, and commitment to excellence!

Congratulations on this well-deserved recognition! We can’t wait to see the new ideas and inspiration brought back to our kitchens to continue serving our students with excellence.
