🎉Staff Spotlight🎉
As we wrap up our year at GM we wanted to spotlight our retiring teacher, Mrs Smith. Mrs Smith has been at Green Mountain for 24 years, but teaching for 37! When asking her about her favorite thing about GM she said, One of the many reasons I have loved teaching at GM for the past 24 years is the incredible sense of community. Over the years, I've had the privilege of building meaningful relationships, not only with my students, but also with their families. One family in particular has become especially dear to me, and our connection has grown far beyond the classroom. Relationships like these are a beautiful reflection of what makes this school such a special place. Another reason is seeing my former students become their own unique individuals, fulfilling careers, building their own families, and making positive contributions to the world. Knowing that I played even a small role in their journey is incredibly rewarding. " Thank you Suzanne Smith for your many years of dedication and good luck on your next big adventure- retirement!!! 🐻🥳

As we send off our 5th graders today, we reflect on all they've been through and all they will become, and boy is their futures bright! We are SO proud of our Green Mountain Grizzlies and we can not wait to hear about all your middle school endeavors! A big thank you to the parents, families, and staff who poured into their students and this schools during their journey here, this isn't goodbye, just see you later- because once a Grizzly, always a Grizzly! During our Oregon Trail unit, our 4th grade students got to indulge in some delicious snacks. We made homemade butter, ate beef jerky, apples, and sourdough bread. Students also learned how to cross stitch their initials! The hardest part was threading a real needle! 🛤️🪡🧈🍎
