I’m Trish Skinner, retired in 2004 after twenty years in the Navy and the mother of two precious children, Alexander and Zahara. As you can see, I have all the children I need from A to Z. Smiley
Having a second child 12 years after the first and being retired has given me the opportunity to take part in all the wonderful changes and growth in my daughter that I wasn’t able to see with my son. Wi
th that in mind, I knew I wanted to take a bigger part in her pre-school education. Thus I started researching different subjects about child education. I became a Baby Signs® Independent Certified Instructor in July of 2005 after reading about Linda Acredolo and Susan Goodwyn’s incredible two decade research and success with the use of sign language in infants and toddlers! In July, 2011, I also became a Baby Signs® certified ECE Trainer, which allows me to facilitate the Center Certification Programs to day care centers, child development centers and home care professionals, as well as becoming an On The Grow Educator! These new classes are an amazing blend of signs, fun and knowledge targeted to children as early as birth and all the way up to toddler! As a former veteran instructor in several areas, I knew these programs would add a wonderful challenge to my life. Teaching pint size students! Not to mention a wonderful bonding experience with my own child, Zahara. It has proven to be a grand adventure with lots of exciting opportunities to provide a beneficial service to parents, day care providers and children. Along with BeeBo™ the Baby Signs® Bear, we’ve met some wonderful people and made quite a few new friends along the way! At the moment, I offer classes within Kitsap (Bremerton, Port Orchard, Silverdale, Poulsbo and Bainbridge Island areas). So if you’re interested in taking a class or just receiving a promotional presentation for your business or organization, please feel free to contact me via email or leave me a vm at 360 440-1183. Thanks again for visiting and I hope to hear from you and your little ones soon!
