Several families have inquired about school supplies. I fyou would like to bring/donate school supplies, we would certainly welcome the folliwing items anytime throughout the school year:

2 pocket folders with 3 prong fasteners
clear sheet protectors (for portfolios)
Mr Sketch scented markers
Sharpie markers (assorted colors)
Elmers glue and or glue sticks
tissues
paper towels
napkins
3oz or 5oz small paper cups
wood scraps for art projects

Have you ever wondered why your child wants to play the same game, read the same book, or repeat the same activity over and over again?

It may look repetitive to us, but for children, repetition is purposeful.

Each time they revisit an experience, they’re strengthening neural pathways, refining motor skills, expanding language, building confidence, and making deeper connections with what they’re learning. Repetition gives children the opportunity to practice, experiment, and master new skills at their own pace.

As adults, we often seek novelty. Children seek familiarity because that’s where learning happens.

So the next time your child says, “Again!” remember—they aren’t simply passing the time. They’re building their brain.

Let's explore the shore! 🐚🦀

Join us on July 29 at Waterfront Park for an educational, kid-friendly beach walk in partnership with Kitsap Regional Library! Come learn about the diversity of marine life from expert Beach Naturalists from Sustainable Bainbridge, with a story & activity stations for the little ones to connect with intertidal ecosystems.

Be sure to wear sturdy, beach-appropriate footwear for walking in mud & water.
