Last week, our teens had a KOOL time at What's that KOOL Flavor? They taste-tested all the Kool-Aid flavors and voted for their favorite—talk about a flavor-packed competition!

Each year our storytime kids help to vote for the winner of the Indiana Early Literacy Firefly Award! The 2026 winner is Little Freddie Two Pants by Drew Daywalt. This book, as well as all of the books that have been nominated over the years, are available for checkout at the library.

Winner! "Little Freddie Two Pants” has been chosen as the winner of the 2026 Indiana Early Literacy Firefly Award. More than 4,400 Indiana children aged 0-5 voted for their favorite book from a ballot of five books. "Freddie" earned 1,242 votes. Last week, we had the pleasure of hosting the Northern Indiana Teen Services Roundtable!

This group brings together Young Adult and Teen Librarians from across Northern Indiana to connect, collaborate, and talk about all things teen—from programming ideas and current trends to readers’ advisory, teen resources, and so much more!

We were thrilled to welcome 12 libraries and 17 librarians/library staff members for a day full of great conversations, fresh ideas, and shared expertise.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who joined us! We’re excited to take everything we learned and use those ideas to continue strengthening our programs, resources, and engagement with the teens in the Bremen community.

We’re so grateful for this incredible network of library professionals and can’t wait to see where these conversations take us next!
