🌟Staff Spotlight: Mrs. Snyder 🌟

Mrs. Snyder is beginning her 13th year in education and her 5th year here at Breckenridge Elementary where she teaches 3rd grade! Before joining us in Breckenridge, she spent 8 years teaching 3rd and 5th grade in Wahpeton.

Mrs. Snyder has been involved with 21CCLC in a variety of ways throughout her time at Breckenridge. She has taught after-school enrichment classes such as Art Classes and Reading Olympics and she has taught Camp S’more summer school for several years, working with students in grades 4–6. This summer, she took on a new role as our 21CCLC Summer Program Coordinator.

Mrs. Snyder loves creating opportunities for students to learn, try new things, build confidence and discover something they enjoy. Her passion for teaching and dedication to her students was recognized when she was voted the 2024 Best of the Valley Teacher! 🏆❤️

Outside of school, Mrs. Snyder enjoys spending time with her family and cheering on her kids at their many sporting events. 🏈

🌟 Staff Spotlight: Mrs. Eggiman 📚

Mrs. Eggiman has spent 20 years in education, with experience teaching students from preschool through sixth grade. Since 2013, she has served as a Reading Specialist at Breckenridge Elementary and recently stepped into the role of Literacy Lead for ISD 846, supporting literacy instruction across the district. 📖 She is passionate about helping students develop strong reading skills, confidence, and a positive identity as readers. ❤️

This summer, she offered one-on-one literacy sessions for students, using the Orton-Gillingham approach to provide explicit, systematic, and multisensory instruction tailored to each student’s needs. She especially enjoys seeing students gain confidence as their skills grow and watching those special “I can do this!” moments happen. ✨

Outside of school, she is a wife, mom to four, and dog mom to Reba. 🐶 She enjoys time with family and friends, live music 🎶, Broadway plays 🎭, Minnesota lake days 🌊, and planning their next family adventure. ✈️ Capturing life’s moments through photos and videos brings her joy, especially when she can turn those memories into keepsakes. 📸💛

We are so lucky to have Mrs. Eggiman at Breckenridge Public Schools!

🎨 Our Final Summer Class Before School Starts! ✏️

Our final class before school starts is officially underway, and the creativity is already flowing! Students started by gluing popsicle sticks together to create their very own mini fences. They painted and decorated their fences with their names, making each one unique! 🪵🎨

They also designed their very own masterpieces on ceiling tiles and have started bringing their creative ideas to life! 🖌️✨

And this is just the beginning! There are plenty more creations that will come to life throughout this week and next week. We can’t wait to see what our students dream up! 🌟
