The Twin Towns Block Party brings the Breckenridge and Wahpeton school communities together to welcome students and families back to school. Come enjoy:

🏫 Local businesses and organizations showcasing what they offer

🎨 Our Final Summer Class Before School Starts! ✏️

Our final class before school starts is officially underway, and the creativity is already flowing! Students started by gluing popsicle sticks together to create their very own mini fences. They painted and decorated their fences with their names, making each one unique! 🪵🎨

They also designed their very own masterpieces on ceiling tiles and have started bringing their creative ideas to life! 🖌️✨

And this is just the beginning! There are plenty more creations that will come to life throughout this week and next week. We can’t wait to see what our students dream up! 🌟

🎭✨ What an AMAZING performance! ✨🎭

We are so proud of our students and all the hard work they put into A Fractured Fairytale: A Golden Trip to Neverland! 🏴‍☠️💫

Over 165 family members, friends, and community members joined us, and we are so grateful for the incredible support! ❤️

A huge thank you to our amazing student cast and to our directors, Grace and Olivia, for bringing this production to life! 🌟 Our students worked hard, stepped outside their comfort zones, and truly shined on stage!

Thank you, Breckenridge, for showing up and cheering on our kids! We are so proud of them! 💙🤠

🌟 Staff Spotlight: Ms. Lauritsen! 📚

Growing up right here in Breckenridge, Ms. Lauritsen has always had a special connection to our community. 🏡 She was raised with her two younger siblings, parents, and family dog and is excited to now be giving back to the school community she grew up in.

After graduating from Bethel University, she began her career at the elementary school as a paraprofessional before becoming our Middle School Special Education teacher. 🍎 She is now starting her second year in the classroom! This summer, she joined our 21CCLC program to teach Credit Recovery, helping high school students stay on track and continue making progress toward graduation. 🎓

Outside of school, she loves to crochet 🧶, play games (especially card games and crosswords! 🃏🧩), and read. 📖 We are so lucky to have Ms. Lauritsen on our team! 💚

🌟 Staff Spotlight: Mr. Toviao Hopkins 🌟

We are excited to shine the spotlight on Mr. Hopkins, one of our 21st CCLC Summer Program educators! This summer, Mr. Hopkins brought his passion for English and Social Studies to our credit recovery students, while also supporting students through Valley Lake.🍎

With 25 years in education, Mr. Hopkins has a wealth of experience spanning elementary education, physical education, special education, English, and Social Studies. He has served students in Wahpeton, Circle of Nations, Rothsay, and Breckenridge. His commitment to students extends well beyond the classroom, with more than 30 years of coaching boys’ and girls’ basketball, 20+ years of baseball, and 15+ years of involvement in youth football. 🏀

Mr. Hopkins has also worn many hats throughout his career, including 15 years as a licensed cosmetologist and owner/operator of Impressions by Toviao. He is currently completing the requirements to become a Synod Authorized Minister and serves Mooreton Lutheran and Faith Lutheran in Dwight.💚

We are grateful for the experience, energy, humor, and dedication Mr. Hopkins brought to our summer program. Thank you, Mr. Hopkins, for helping make learning meaningful and memorable for our students! We are so glad you were part of our 21st CCLC team! 👏🏻
