Our Culinary students completed their first lab of the year by making Churro Rice Krispies Treats for the FFA concession stand! They did a great job working together, following directions, and getting everything ready for game night. Such a great way to kick off our labs this year!

FCS/FCCLA/BHS……Thank you for the memories!
My duties have come to an end!

It has been a privilege and an absolute joy to play a part in the lives of the FCS/FCCLA students through the years.

Students: It has been a rewarding experience watching you realize, grow and develop your special skills and talents. Thank you for trusting me and being eager and willing to try new things and push yourselves outside your norm.

FCCLA Competitors: You have amazed me with your dedication, determination and work ethic. Competition is not easy! Always remember: Excellence is never an accident! It requires effort. Ultimately, it has been a blessing to work along side you, share in your journey and witness your collaboration with your peers.

Please continue challenging yourself, perfecting your skills, believing in yourself, seeking guidance, and demonstrating a willingness to learn and help others.

As I walk away from my teacher/sponsor duties, students please know that I am always cheering for you.

Hi, Buckaroos! I'm Teresa Womack, and I'm so excited to be joining Breckenridge High School as your new Culinary and FCCLA teacher!

This year marks my 5th year in education, and while I've spent the last three years teaching Agricultural Science and serving as an FFA advisor, I'm excited to begin this new adventure in Culinary Arts and FCCLA.
I earned my bachelor's degree in Agribusiness with a minor in Equine Science from Sul Ross State University.

A fun fact about me is that my husband, Cody, and I met at an FFA event when we were in high school! We recently celebrated 23 years of marriage, and we're blessed with three wonderful boys—Casen, Cooper, and Trace.

My family and I are incredibly excited to become part of the Breckenridge community. I can't wait to get to know my students, build an amazing FCCLA chapter, and make this a fantastic school year.

Day 5 at National FCCLA was filled with meaningful moments and exciting events. We visited Arlington National Cemetery, witnessed the Changing of the Guard, and had the honor of participating in a wreath-laying ceremony. Later, we attended the National FCCLA General Session and enjoyed the annual Fashion Show before the Top 10 STAR Event finalists were announced. While we didn't advance to the Top 10 this year, we are incredibly proud of our members for representing Breckenridge, Texas, and our chapter with professionalism, hard work, and determination.

National FCCLA Day 4 was full of learning, history, and amazing tours! We visited the U.S. Capitol, the Library of Congress, and even had the opportunity to see the House and Senate galleries.
We also toured the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum, where members learned more about aviation, space exploration, and American history.
Another great day of learning beyond the classroom in Washington, D.C.!

Day 3 of FCCLA Nationals was a success! Anabelle and Chelsey presented on teen mental health, and we'll find out the results on Thursday. Members spent the day networking with other members at the exhibition hall. We wrapped up the day with a delightful dinner river cruise on the Potomac River.
