Why I Joined My Union

Every union member has a story. Some joined for better wages. Some joined for stronger benefits. Some wanted a voice at work. Others joined because they believe educators and school employees deserve respect, fairness, and a seat at the table.

Now we want to hear YOUR story.

🎤 “I joined my union because…”

Share your reason in the comments.

Your voice matters, and your story may inspire another teacher or school employee to stand with us.

Congratulations Reginald!💜💙

We're proud to spotlight Reginald Hill Jr., our Employee Representative! 💙 As Food Service Area Manager for Saint Martin Schools, Reginald has dedicated over 1️⃣9️⃣ years to serving students and strengthening school nutrition in Louisiana.

His favorite school lunch is Sausage Creole with Rice, and one of the things he values most about the SNA of Louisiana is the opportunity to connect with, encourage, and represent school nutrition professionals across the state.

A standout memory for Reginald is celebrating his mentor, Mrs. Rosie Jackson, as she was recognized for more than 5️⃣0️⃣ years of service—a testament to the passion and dedication found throughout our profession.

Thank you for your leadership, service, and commitment to Louisiana school nutrition, Reginald! 👏
