π± Feeling inspired! π±
When we first started our school garden, our goal was, and still is, to show our students that they, too, can grow their own food. Thereβs something so powerful about watching a seed become something you can eat! π₯π
π»
Our dream is to grow our garden big enough that we can eventually share fresh produce with our community. Weβre not quite there yet, but weβre growing, and weβre ready to take the next steps!
Weβd love to develop partnerships with local farmers and eventually host community sessions on canning, preserving, and storing food for the off-season.
Thatβs where I need your help! β€οΈ
Does anyone know:
1οΈβ£ Local farmers who grow fruits and/or vegetables and might be interested in partnering with our school garden?
2οΈβ£ Local businesses that may be interested in becoming sponsors and helping offset some of the costs associated with our garden initiatives?
3οΈβ£ Local entrepreneurs or food-preservation experts who already can, preserve, or store food and would be interested in helping us teach our community how to make their harvest last until the next growing season?
If you know someone who might be a good fit, or if you are interested in helping, please comment below, tag them, or send me a message!
π± Weβre growing more than a garden. Weβre growing knowledge, skills, partnerships, and community. π±
