We don’t offer discounts on lessons (unless you have your own horse), but there’s a reason why.

A lesson is more than the hour you spend in the saddle. It includes the care of our horses, facility expenses, equipment, insurance, education, preparation, and the time and expertise that go into creating a safe, intentional program for every horse and rider.

At the end of the day, ask your horse if they would be willing to eat any less, receive less care, or have their needs compromised just to save a few dollars. I’m guessing their answer would be no. 😉

We believe in keeping our pricing fair and consistent so we can continue providing the quality instruction, horse care, and individualized attention our students deserve.

When you invest in a lesson, you’re investing not only in your riding, but in the entire program behind it. And we’re incredibly grateful for every person who chooses to invest in themselves and their horse with us. 🐴✨🩵

Things that people who come from other sports (that are not horse-related) that may shock them:

- Weather doesn’t affect our scheduling although we may have to adjust the content of what we are learning. We show up rain or shine (even when it is 100+) because horse ownership has no days off.

- Expecting a participation trophy at each competition. Only 20% of riders at a show come home with a check. You better get really good at losing because you will lose significantly more than you win.

- You must commit to your horse every single day. This sport is not a “show up twice a week to practice” kind of sport. It takes daily discipline to excel.

- There is always a risk of getting hurt. Although uncommon, horses can cause death and significant injuries. Our safety rules (how to hold the lead rope, put the bridle on, brush horses, etc) are in place not to take away from you having fun, but to make sure that you go home in one piece. Even when you are as careful as possible, freak things happen!

- You have to act with urgency and always be present. Horses are flight animals and things can change in the blink of an eye. When a Trainer tells you to do something, it doesn’t mean to do it in 5 minutes. It means do it now.

You never win if you don’t enter. You also never lose if you don’t enter. Honestly… neither option sounds that great to me. Yes, if you never enter the race, you’ll never have to deal with a bad run, a knocked barrel, a mistake, a disappointment, or walking away without the result you wanted.

Also, you will never get the opportunity to win. You never get experience. You never find out what you’re capable of. It is easy to tell yourself that you “aren’t ready” to compete. We convince ourselves that staying out of the competitive arena is protecting us from failure, when really, it’s also preventing us from success.

In all aspects of life, there will always be a reason to wait until you’re more ready, more experienced, more confident, more prepared, or more certain. You have to enter and give yourself a chance. A loss is temporary. Regret sticks around a whole lot longer.

I always tell our students, “If you want to win a buckle, you need to enter races that have buckles as a prize.” You can’t win a race you never enter. You can’t win a buckle at a race that doesn’t have buckles as prizes. How are you going to plan for your goals?

A big goal for PB Performance Horses over the year was to become more than just a lesson program, but a household name. We represent so much more than just showing up to ride a horse. Our brand represents hard work, team work, passion, precision, thoroughness, first-class training and horsemanship.

PB Performance Horses started as just Payton Bladow Performance Horses in 2018 and has grown into so much more. What started as a dream to train horses has evolved into getting individuals of every age into becoming stewards of the horse. Our goal at PB Performance Horses is to help each rider become their PERSONAL BEST!!!! 💪🩵

I keep trying to find the words to express how PROUD and GRATEFUL I am for this group of people, but I keep falling short. There simply are no words.

So here are my girls. Raw, silly, beautiful, authentic, supportive🩵 They all ran their own race, but never stopped cheering for each other. West Coast Finals 2026 is in the books!

Over $9,300 won, 15 horses ran, and even more memories brought home. This team never fails to impress me. I’m so proud of them all. 🤠🎉

October is already this week!! Happy Fall Y’all! 🎃🤠👻 Here is our availability for the month!

Whether you’re just getting started or looking to improve, our lessons are designed to build confident riders through and through! We focus on the fundamentals and developing horsemen and women first. All of our lessons are private and customized to your particular experience level. We have lesson horses available or you can bring your own!

Beginner/Intermediate Availability:
💜 Mondays at 5 PM
💜 Tuesdays at 11 AM, 3 PM, and 7 PM
💜 Wednesdays at 4 PM and 8 PM
💜 Thursdays at 11 AM, 4 PM, 5 PM, and 7 PM
💜 Fridays at 11 AM, 12 PM, and 2 PM
💜 Saturdays at 11 AM

Advanced Availability:
🩵 Mondays at 5 PM

This. This right here. This is what sets PB Performance Horses apart from the rest. These girls SHOW UP with dedication, love, and grit. It is easy go to open arena when it’s at 6 pm. It’s a whole other ball game to make open arena at 6 am. When you’re tired, grumpy, hungry, it is easy to say “I don’t need to do that.”

But every year, I have the girls do open arena. I’m always surprised that there aren’t more people, but when you go the extra mile, it normally isn’t crowded. I’m so proud of them for getting their horses in the arena to see the sights. Every single one of them … are going to go FAR! 🤩 Good luck girls!! Let’s have some fun!

I finally got to meet my boy Howie today!!! Mr. Howard, I have some big dreams for you! 🩵 I can’t wait to bring you home and have you meet your gooby big brother, Gus Gus! 🤩

Slowly but surely. 🩵 So proud of the program we are building. Lots of hard work, passion, and financial commitment wrapped up into these babies. There’s never any pressure on them to be anything but themselves. No expectations, just excitement about what they can be!

Thank you Leah Crockett for letting me have this boy be mine!!!

Thank you Amanda Enzenauer for being the best c**t starter, friend, mentor, and person. I love you and cannot thank you enough for putting up with my shenanigans! 🥳
