Optimus Learning School - Brea After school program, homeschool & summer camp for K-12 students in Brea & Fullerton. Private tutoring in math, reading, writing & more. Since 2008.

Optimus Learning School is an after school program in Brea. Our classes have a small ratio, with an average of 4-6 students per teacher. We offer many after school programs including math, reading, writing and homework help. Students can enroll in our daily tutoring service or our once a week classes for extra help. Optimus After School Program serves Brea, Fullerton, and Yorba Linda areas.

One student modeling multiplication - drawing the rows out until the problem makes sense. Another coloring a shark square by square, solving a math fact for every color.

Same skill. Different door in.

That is most of what we do here: finding the version of a lesson that finally clicks for that particular kid.

Folders decorated and labeled. Digraph sounds - ch, qu, wh - getting sorted out one worksheet at a time. And a painting that filled the whole page, exactly as it should.

The first weeks are about more than academics. They are about walking in, finding your seat, and feeling like you belong there.

🎂 It's back.

Three times a year - the first week of school, the Christmas season, and the last week before summer - we deliver a cake to the front office of every school we serve. We have been doing it long enough that now, when the box shows up, someone always asks:

"Is it that cake?"

It is.

Today it went to Golden, Brookhaven, Olinda, Country Hills, Falcon, Mariposa, Laguna Road, Sunset Lane, and Beechwood.

To every principal, secretary, and office staff member who keeps these schools running - thank you. Wishing you a sweet school year! 🎉

👩‍🍳 Little chefs at work! 🥞 This week our OLS students rolled up their sleeves for a hands-on cooking class — measuring, mixing, whisking, and baking their very own treats from scratch. From batter to golden bites, they learned that cooking is science, math, and teamwork all in one (and yes, they got to taste the delicious results 😋). Hands-on activities like this build confidence, patience, and a love of trying new things.
