On a B-2 visitor visa and thinking about studying English? One date now matters more than you might expect: September 15, 2026.

That is when a new DHS rule replaces "duration of status" for F-1 students with a fixed end date on your I-94 - and it changes what a change of status approval actually gives you. There is also a new 24-month limit on English language training.

AELS Fullerton is a SEVP-approved school. We issue Initial Attendance I-20s and help students changing status from B-2 line up their start date, their I-20, and their filing so the pieces fit together.
