How does Tarot Magic work?

We will look at various methods of spell casting using Tarot cards. I prefer to teach Magic that is necessary, and so I will ask people in the class to let me know what kind of spells they need in their life. I will build the class focusing on the needs of the people who attend. The class is taught in a private facebook group, and is made to fit your schedule!

78 days of Tarot starts next week. This is an immersive class where we jump into the old and sacred journey of Tarot. We spend a day with each card with the goal of forming a relationship with the card. From the Fool to the King of Pentacles- we follow a well worn path that has brought wisdom and understanding for many people over time.

The class itself is held on a google classroom, and it is built to fit any schedule. The class forms into a community, sharing thoughts and ideas about the cards. The more people participate- the better. I share information and thoughts on the card of the day throughout the day that you can catch up with at your convenience.

78 days of Tarot is an immersive journey through the Tarot deck. As a community, we spend a day with each of the Tarot cards with the goal of forming a relationship and opening up communication.

78 Days of Tarot is a journey through the cards. We focus on one card a day, moving from the Fool to the King of Pentacles. The goal of 78 days is not to simply learn Tarot. It is to jump into an enchanted world and to become a part of the ever changing and evolving story of Tarot. You will find that jumping into the world of Tarot doesn't just teach you; it Changes you.

So, how does it work? We will focus on one card a day, taking two days off a week for catch up and integration. And so, on the Day of the Fool, we may wear bright colors and be excited to be off on an adventure through Tarot (what could be more exciting!) We will think of Fool songs and poetry that reminds us of The Fool. We will ponder Fools we have known, and when we have had the traits of the Fool. We will immerse ourselves for one day in The Fool, and the next day.. we will move onto the Magician, and so on right through the whole Tarot deck!

One of the benefits of spending a day with each card is that you form a relationship with the card. So that it is not just a set of keywords in your mind, but something that can grow, flex, and evolve. The goal of 78 days is to befriend the 78 cards; for them to become a part of your life and experience.

This entire experience happens on a google classroom group with posts and videos. You do not have to be available at any particular time. This is a journey, and your task will be to sink into one card each day and hopefully share your wisdom with the group!

The cost of the class is only $20 a week; my least expensive class. It is important to me that people are able to take the class! It begins on 2/12, and runs for 16 weeks, until we make it all the way through the deck. You can pay weekly, or set up a plan that works for you. The total is $320. Q: Why do you teach Tarot in the way that you do, spending a day with each card?

A: Because I believe in Tarot. I don't think we are holding mere cardboard images in our hands, I believe firmly in the Spirit of the cards. I don't think that the cards are just images that I use to trigger my own intuition. I think that there is something more to Tarot than that. And, when I wish to get to know a Spirit, familiar, or person; I do this by spending time with them. A day hardly seems enough time, but it is a really good start. From there, I can't even tell you where it will lead you-that is your path to walk.

"Do I have to be available at a specific time?"

The answer is NO. I have created this class in a way that it can fit into your schedule.. just as long as you have about 15 min a day and a deck of Tarot cards that you are willing to bring with you on your travels!

One of the biggest stumbling blocks when learning Tarot is believing that you have to memorize 'key words' and that the reading has to follow a concrete direction. Tarot is communication. It is a language of images that people often want to condense into a few words. But that's not how a language of imagery works.

I have found that the cards are very much defined by the other cards in the reading. They simply do not mean the same thing every time. Tarot is not about memorization- it is about communication.

Once people start connecting deeply to the cards and not the key words, the whole practice opens up. Suddenly- it all makes sense. We cannot relate to the cards as a few key words any more than we can relate to each other in that way. If we do, we rob the card of both depth and communication.

In 78 days, my goal is to help you to find your relationship with the cards. We will spend a day with each card seeing it in the world around us, finding related poetry and music, and getting a good feeling for the card. Many people have said that this is the class that finally opened Tarot up to them- some after decades of work. It all suddenly clicked and made sense.

My name is Stacy, and I am the teacher of 78 days of Tarot. I have had a few people ask about my experience, so I thought I would speak a bit about my history for those who do not know me.

I was gifted my first deck of Tarot cards in 1995. I remember thinking that it was going to be a LOT to memorize. I went to a shop in Mystic, CT to ask for a good book to get me started. The old woman behind the counter laughed and said, 'WELL. If you want to learn to read books, then I guess you should just read books. If you want to read Tarot, you will have to read the cards.' She gave me a blank journal and no further instruction.

So, I looked at the cards. I decided that the best and most respectful way to do this was to spend a day with each of the cards and to really look at them and let them speak to me. I started to fill up the journal from the shop, day by day. And when I got to the end of the deck, I decided to start again. I read for everyone I knew, and most of their friends too. In 2004, I taught my first formal Tarot class to a group of teenagers in a drop in center. I found that I loved teaching just as much as I loved reading Tarot cards. I have been teaching 78 days of Tarot ever since. Sometimes to small groups in my home; other times online to larger groups. I have been professionally reading Tarot cards since the early 2000's.

I strongly believe that the Tarot Cards are conscious and speaking to us. When we give them time and dedication, it's easy to hear what they are saying. And so, I teach by way of relationship- not memorization. Once you have formed a relationship with each card, you will not need to memorize key words any more than you would have to do this with a dear friend. Over time, I have found that taking this journey is sacred. I never know what will happen; when we look at the Cards, they look back at us. My students tell me that 78 days changed their life in ways that they could not have imagined. All I can do is agree- me too.

78 Days is not a traditional class. It never feels that way. It is a journey to take, a community to get to know, and a spark of enchantment to add to your days. I never really know what will happen on these journeys even though I have done this many times. Each class is formed by the people who join and the wisdom that they share.
