Through the Ecuador: The Galápagos Islands & the Cloud Forest program, students explore the biodiversity of the Galápagos, support conservation efforts in Ecuador’s cloud forests, engage in community service projects, and learn firsthand about sustainability and environmental stewardship. From snorkeling alongside unique wildlife to helping restore native habitats, participants gain a deeper understanding of the importance of protecting our planet.

Meet Bradford Holladay, Experiment Alumni from 2016! Ten years later, Bradford sees the huge impact The Experiment has had on his life. He currently works for The Boy Scouts of America and has co-founded an organization that fundraises to send students on an overseas trip—an initiative he said was inspired by his summer in 2016.

"I really enjoyed this whole experience. Whether it was the new experiences, new people/friends, my group leader, or the food, all of it was one hundred percent enjoyable. I built lifelong bonds with people, saw new things, tried delicious food, and made delicious food. I will definitely be going back. Everything was so beautiful, like something out of a move. I got to experience Italian life with my host family. I got to learn how to cook authentic Italian food. The best thing we made as a group was definitely the lasagna. I highly recommend."

"My experience in Ghana was a once in a lifetime experience. While getting to experience a new culture, I also got to make memorable connections with 9 of the other students on the trip. Being in a different country as a teenager without your family is hard, but the people that I was surrounded with on the trip made it so much easier to adjust. As soon as we got there we were immersed into Ghana's rich history and culture. It was super fun to learn fun facts about the country and how Ghana first gained its independence. We tried new foods, went to many museums and cultural sites, explored the rainforest, went on hikes, and walked through the bustling streets of Accra. I am so grateful that I had the chance to experience Ghana with EIL. I will never forget how monumental this trip was to my self discovery and overall growth as a high school student."
