Golf helps us to live "An Amplified Existence”

I really love Elizabeth Gilbert’s book Big Magic – Creative Living Beyond Fear. And I also really enjoy her YouTube interviews!

One of the many gems in Big Magic is a story of her friend Susan, who took up figure skating when she was 40 years old, what it meant to Susan, and what she needed to do in order to make it happen in her already very busy life

My favorite couple of lines:

"Susan is still figure skating several mornings a week - simply because skating is still the best way for her to unfold a certain beauty and transcendence within her life that she cannot seem to access in any other manner. And she would like to spend as much time as possible in such a state of transcendence while she's still here on earth.”

When I read that, it makes me think of how I feel about golf, and how important it is for me to have something like this in my life that makes me feel this way. How about you?

I hope that we are all able to spend as much of that kind of time as possible out on the course in 2018!
