A few months ago, our SPA family came together to support a very special fundraising campaign for Warrior Paws and our sweet GiGi’s journey toward receiving a service dog.

This weekend, we had the incredible honor of joining GiGi and her family at Rucker Dog Training to surprise her with the news she had been waiting for she had officially been matched with her perfect service dog, Miss Mira! 🐕‍🦺🥹💛

GiGi has been a special part of our SPA family since she was just one year old. We have watched her grow, celebrated so many milestones alongside her, and now we get to celebrate this beautiful new chapter too.

To every SPA family who donated to Warrior Paws, shared the fundraiser, offered encouragement, or simply showed GiGi and her family love thank you. Your support has meant so much throughout this journey.

In just a few weeks, GiGi will get to bring Mira home and their next chapter together will officially begin! We know this journey will bring lots of learning, growth, exciting moments, and maybe even some challenging ones, but we are so excited to see all that GiGi + Mira accomplish together. 🐾✨

Moments like this remind us of something we say often and truly mean:

SPA is more than just a school. We are a family. 💛

And when one of our babies reaches a milestone, we celebrate right alongside them.

Yesterday, our students welcomed some very special visitors from Fifth Third Bank as part of our Community Helpers Week! 💙

Our young learners got an age-appropriate introduction to saving, spending, making smart choices, and understanding how banks help our community. They even got to work through their very own Young Bankers Club activities! 🪙📚

Financial literacy can start early! Experiences like this help children begin understanding that money has value, choices matter, and saving today can help us reach our goals tomorrow. 🌱💵

What a perfect way to wrap up Community Helpers Week! Our Private Pre-K students took their learning outside of the classroom today with a special field trip to Publix! 🎉

Throughout the week, we’ve been learning about the many people who work together to make our community such a wonderful place. Today, our students got a behind-the-scenes look at one of the places our families visit all the time—the grocery store! 🥕🍎🥖

From exploring different departments to learning about the important jobs that help keep the store running, our students had so much fun learning, asking questions, and experiencing their community firsthand.

A HUGE special thank you to our favorite local grocery store, Publix at Braselton Village, for welcoming our students and helping us create such a fun and meaningful learning experience! 💚 We truly appreciate you being such a wonderful part of our community.

Community Helpers Week — Day 3! 🩺🐾

Today was all about dogs, doctors, and discovering the world of veterinary medicine! 🐶💛

Our Private Pre-K students tied this week’s focus letter “D” into our Community Helpers theme with their very own Dog Adoption Day! Each student had the opportunity to “adopt” a dog while learning about the love, care, and responsibility that comes with taking care of a pet.

Then we welcomed a very special community helper our very own SPA grandparent, Dr. Sue, who is a veterinarian! 🩺🐕 Dr. Sue visited our preschool and Private Pre-K classrooms and introduced our students to the exciting world of veterinary medicine. Our little learners explored some of the tools veterinarians use, learned how vets help keep animals healthy, and even got hands-on practice using a stethoscope! ❤️

For our Private Pre-K students, it was the perfect way to bring their Letter D learning, Dog Adoption Day, and Community Helpers Week together into one meaningful, hands-on experience.

A HUGE thank you to Dr. Sue for sharing her time, knowledge, and love for animals with our students. We especially love when our own SPA families and grandparents get to be part of the learning happening in our classrooms! 💛

Today, our Koalas practiced making choices while strengthening their independence and fine motor skills!

Each child was given one bowl containing different types of play food and a spoon. They were encouraged to explore freely while their teachers observed which food they reached for first. They also practiced scooping, stirring, and yes even spilling! 😊

🌟 Why is this important?

This simple activity supports so many important developmental skills. Our Koalas are learning to:
• Make independent choices
• Strengthen fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination
• Practice using a spoon
• Build confidence and independence
• Explore their individual preferences
• Develop language as teachers narrate their choices and actions

🏡 Try It at Home!

Place two different child-safe snacks or foods in one bowl and give your toddler a spoon. Allow them to decide what they want to try first and practice scooping independently.

Talk with them as they explore: “Which one are you going to choose?” “You picked the cereal!” “Look at you using your spoon!”

And don’t worry about the spills! 💜 At this age, the process is the learning. Every scoop, choice, spill, and attempt helps build a more confident and capable little learner.

Community Helpers Week — Day TWO! 💙🚓

Today we had a VERY special visitor from the Braselton Police Department !

Our students enjoyed a fun, exciting, and interactive presentation where they learned more about the important role our police officers play in keeping our community safe. And of course, one of the BIGGEST highlights was getting an up-close tour of some of the coolest police cars around! 🚔✨

Our entire school had an absolute BLAST! 🤩

A huge THANK YOU to the Braselton Police Department for taking time out of your day to visit our students, answer their questions, and make Day 2 of Community Helpers Week so memorable. We are incredibly appreciative of everything you do for our community! 💙

Today we're celebrating someone who brings so much love, patience, and joy to Suwanee Prep Academy! 💙

Mrs. Samantha has a heart for teaching and caring for our toddlers, and it shows in everything she does. From warm hugs and encouraging words to fun learning experiences and endless smiles, she makes every child feel safe, loved, and valued.

We love Mrs. Samantha just as much as her toddlers do and if you've ever seen the way they light up when they see her each morning, you know that's saying a lot! 🥹💛
