As I reflect back on the past year—and really, the past four almost five years—I just want to take a moment to say how grateful I am for the trust, love, and support each family has shown me. Opening my home to care for children is a privilege I do not take lightly. Watching them learn, laugh, explore, and share their personalities has been a true joy. Each smile, giggle, random hug, and little moment of curiosity has reminded me why I am so passionate about what I do, and I am deeply thankful for the opportunity to share my home and heart with so many families.
That said, I want to let everyone know that I will be taking a break from in-home care for the time being. During this pause, I am focusing on completing my New York State registration and spending some extra time with my family. This process may take some time to finalize, and I truly appreciate your patience and understanding.
The past months have been especially challenging with the constant cycle of sickness that comes with caring for young children. As a one-person provider, the physical and emotional demands of managing a revolving door of illness have been taking a toll on all children in my care, my family and myself.
I want to emphasize that this is not a permanent closure. My passion for caring for children remains strong, and I fully intend to return when the timing is right and registration from NYS is complete.
I am incredibly grateful for the time I have already given reminding me that this is truly the best job I could ever have.
Thank you so much for your trust, support, and for letting me be part of these amazing years with your children.
