We had such an incredible turnout for The Marvelous Wonderettes auditions last Saturday—- these girls came ready to impress! Their preparation, talent, and hard work gave us everything we needed to SKIP FINAL CALLBACKS and move forward with this AMAZING CAST! 🎶

Rehearsals begin TODAY, and these marvelous young Wonderettes are officially ready to trade audition cuts for harmonies, hairspray, and a whole lot of 1958! 🎤💃✨

Their preparedness, passion, and excitement for this production did not go unnoticed, and we cannot wait to see what they create together.

We are so excited about the response to our fall Musical Theatre classes that we’ve added more class options and updated our schedule to make room for even more young performers! 🌟

Classes begin August 31st, and if Musical Theatre is on your child’s fall schedule, now is the time to save their place! We expect several classes to fill quickly.

What makes this trio so powerful is watching three people experience the same thing so differently—each telling their own side of the story while their voices come together in beautiful harmony.

So proud of the honesty, connection, and storytelling these three brought to the stage. ✨

✨ INTRODUCING REBECCA CLABORN — OUR ACT 2 SUPER SWING! ✨

Four Wonderettes. Four personalities. Four sets of harmonies. And one SUPER SWING ready to cover them all! 💗💙💚🧡

We are absolutely marveling over the incredible Rebecca Claborn, who is officially swinging into Act 2 of The Marvelous Wonderettes as our Super Swing, ready to step into the 10-year reunion as any of our four fabulous Wonderettes! 🎶✨

Rebecca is an accomplished performer and dedicated educator whose career has taken her from the opera stage to musical theatre and beyond. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Voice Performance from Simpson College and completed graduate work at the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music.

Her performance credits include Wolf Trap Opera, Cincinnati Opera, Des Moines Metro Opera, and Cedar Rapids Opera Theatre. In 2016, she returned to Wolf Trap Opera as a studio artist and also had the incredible opportunity to perform selections from Sondheim’s A Little Night Music with the National Symphony Orchestra.

Since expanding into musical theatre, Rebecca has continued to show off the versatility that makes her the PERFECT Super Swing! She has entertained audiences at Silver Dollar City since 2024 and currently performs with Dublin’s Irish Tenors & The Celtic Ladies.

When she isn’t performing, Rebecca is a passionate voice teacher dedicated to helping singers develop healthy technique, confidence, artistry, and their own unique sound. 🎤

We couldn’t ask for a more fabulous performer to have waiting in the wings for Act 2. Welcome to the Wonderettes, Rebecca! 💕🎓

💗✨ ANNOUNCING MESA KNIFE CHIEF AS CINDY LOU! ✨💗

Mesa Knife Chief is dusting off the crown she was robbed of and reprising the role of Cindy Lou in The Marvelous Wonderettes… but this time, just in Act II! ✌️ 🎶

With well over 20 years of experience performing and teaching, Mesa has built a life around creating—on stage, on screen, behind the mic, and in the studio. A graduate of Missouri State University and Stella Adler Studio of Acting alumna— Mesa has also spent more recent years starring in many of the wonderful shows at King’s Castle Theatre, along with appearances at Silver Dollar City and Welk Resorts. She is also the proud owner of Shine 417 Studio, and musical theatre teacher at Dance Branson where she is passionate about creating quality training and performance opportunities for young artists seeking to immerse themselves in musical theatre and the arts. 🎭✨

At home, she’s mom to four absolutely marvelous kids. 💯 🩷 Mesa wants to encourage moms to pursue the things that make them feel most alive: “Do it for them, yes. But absolutely do it for you, too.” 💗

Now she’s ready to step back into Cindy Lou’s heels for the 10-Year Reunion—because maybe, just maybe… you’ll be at her command. 😉

She’s got the plans organized, the details handled, and lets be so for real she probably already has the Springfield High Ten-Year Reunion Committee running like a well-oiled machine… 🧡📋 💭 ( Pstttt, REMINDER: SAVE THE DATE October 4th and 11th!)

We are absolutely MARVELOUSLY thrilled to announce Kellsey as Missy in Act 2 of The Marvelous Wonderettes!

An educator with a huge passion for the arts, Kellsey brings an incredible combination of talent, heart, humor, and stage experience to our production! ✨🧡

Some of her favorite credits include Belle (Beauty and the Beast), Baker’s Wife (Into the Woods), Betty (White Christmas), Alice (The Addams Family), Doralee (9 to 5), Sandy (SpongeBob), Miss Hannigan (Annie), and Shelby (Steel Magnolias).

Most recently, Kellsey has been seen at SLT in Noises Off (Brooke), Come From Away (Bonnie), and Anything Goes (Erma), as well as at BRAC as Marty in Grease.

As an educator herself, getting to be part of a production that celebrates the arts while helping support musical theatre education and opportunities for young performers in our community makes this one especially meaningful. 🧡

And, of course, anyone who knows Missy knows there’s one VERY important person we have to mention…

Kellsey sends all her love to her real-life Mr. Lee, Kyle! 🧡😉 We have a feeling Missy would approve.

✨ CAST ANNOUNCEMENT: TAMI COOPER AS BETTY JEAN! ✨

We couldn’t have found a more perfectly marvelous person to tackle the big belty anthems of Betty Jean’s Act 2 than the talented and unstoppable Tami Cooper! 💚🎶

Tami has spent nearly two decades entertaining Branson audiences, beginning aboard the Showboat Branson Belle and going on to perform in #1 Hits of the ’60s, ABBA Tribute: Thank You for the Music, and ’70s Music Celebration with Barry Williams. These days, when she isn’t onstage, Tami trades her microphone for a dental scaler as a hygienist at Lakeview Dental Design in Branson West. Tami also performs with 96 Miles, playing music throughout Southwest Missouri and Northwest Arkansas.

This production is an especially meaningful one for Tami. After spending years performing many of these beautiful tunes right here in Branson alongside lifelong friends, getting the chance to revisit some of that music as Betty Jean feels a little like coming full circle—with bigger notes, plenty of laughs, and just the right amount of Springfield High mischief. 😉

Even more special is the opportunity to do it while supporting a program dedicated to youth education and creating musical theatre opportunities for young performers in our community. As the proud mom of three teenagers—Georgia, Mercy, and Indy—Tami knows firsthand how important it is for young people to have places where they can learn, create, grow in confidence, and discover the things that make them light up.

At a time when we all need art, music, laughter, friendship, and community, getting to make music we love while helping create those opportunities for the next generation feels pretty darn MARVELOUS. 💚

We cannot wait to hear Tami sell those jokes, belt those big notes, and bring Betty Jean to life!

CAST ANNOUNCEMENT — MEET OUR ACT 2 SUZY! ✨

We are so excited to announce Cadence Nicole Miller as Suzy in Act 2 of The Marvelous Wonderettes, performing October 4th & 11th! 💙🎶

While there are so many more exciting details to come, we wanted to take a minute to brag on our very own Suzy and remind you to SAVE THE DATE!

💙 MEET CADENCE 💙

Cadence is thrilled to be returning to musical theatre for the first time since appearing in Little Shop of Horrors with BRAC in 2018! Past credits include Disney’s The Little Mermaid at the White House Theatre (Aquata/Female Ensemble), Silver Dollar City’s The Living Nativity (Virgin Mary), and serving as both producer and performer in Branson’s “Family Show of the Year,” Once Upon a Fairytale, among others. She’s also honored to be Branson’s 2024 and 2025 Female Entertainer of the Year!

Cadence currently performs in Dublin’s Irish Tenors & Celtic Ladies at King’s Castle Theatre, as well as Thank You for the Music: A Modern Tribute to ABBA and Beach Boys California Dreamin’ at Hamners’ Variety Theater.

She is thrilled to be part of this incredibly talented cast and grateful to everyone who has supported her throughout this wild and wonderful career. This performance, however, is especially dedicated to her sister, from whom she draws her inspiration:

“You’re welcome for fulfilling YOUR lifelong dream of ME being pregnant. Take it all in.” 😂💙
