Hey OG's - A serious question for you on the 25th anniversary of 9/11 today.

What can you do today and in the future to help our fire service remember this important day in history? The selfless bravery, the heroic acts, the uncertainty of whether it would happen again, and the other aspects that many have forgotten?

If you're an OG today, you were here when this fateful day occurred. You remember!

Let's honor our fallen brothers and sisters on that day and in the years that follow by sharing this story and teaching the lessons we have learned to those who weren't here!

These lessons are critical to ensure we are better prepared for the future by remembering what we learned from the past!

Grab a cup of coffee or your favorite beverage at the firehouse, sit down at the kitchen table, and share what we know with others!

Thank you, Randy for being the OG to so many of us in the fire service and EMS long before it to as cool.

And thank you for embracing your on screen character in real life for the benefit of communities across the world as you recruited so many of us to serve others.

We're a bit late with today's post. But thank you to everyone who joined us at the Winter Fire School Expo a week ago. Between everyone who came by the booth on Friday and everyone that attended our three classes during the rest of the weekend, it a great weekend had by all.

We hope to see you on Friday at the MU FRTI Winter Fire School Expo. The doors open at 12 pm and stay open until 8 pm. It's simply the best expo in the state each year, but it's even better when you come visit!

We will be closing out some of our legacy shirts, hats, and other swag with great discounts up to 50% off. And new this year will be The Boo Boo Bus Driver, who will also have swag at the booth.

Come for the expo and stay for the education.

Hey OG's, the MU FRTI 2026 Winter Fire School is LESS than one week away.

The OG society is bringing a new course to the 2026 MU Winter Fire School titled “Off Airport Response to Downed Aircraft Emergencies” for two 4-hour sessions on Saturday and one on Sunday.

This is short video talking about everything to enjoy at Fire School and we hope to see you there!

We will also have a booth at the Expo again this year with lots of swag and we’ll have a special guest with the “Boo-Boo Bus Driver” joining us this year too! 😉

Aircraft emergencies can happen anywhere. Unfortunately, most emergency response agencies receive little if any training on how to respond to these incidents...
