We had another great culture day and this one happens to be one of our favorites! Our students stepped outside the classroom to observe, explore, and ask questions about the world God made.

At Legacy, we believe the study of creation is never separate from the study of the Creator. Every leaf, stream, rock, lake, animal, and insect reveals something of His order, wisdom, and care.

Our students were invited to look closely and wonder. Thank you to the Creation Experience Museum for sharing how we see God revealed even in things like fossils and bringing some for our students to look at!

We were also privileged to welcome Branson's Promised Land ZOO who brought a few of God's amazing creations right to our campus for our students to see. Our Grammar school students then planted their own wildflower seeds to take home so they can observe the miracle of their tiny seeds turning into flowers!

Our upper school students spent the day in nature and ended with a hands-on look at how Table Rock Dam was built and then had the chance to construct their own mini cofferdam using miniature vehicles.

What a joy to spend a day delighting in the world God created! ❤️

THE HEART OF FIELD TRIPS & SERVICE PROJECTS

In a world dedicated to increasing individualized screen time, we at Legacy seek a different way of life that involves real-life engagement in the community. If we want to be the sort of people that know truth, love, goodness, and reflect beauty, then we must do this off our screens, off campus, and amongst the people God placed in our lives.

Last week, our first graders had the opportunity to visit Branson MO Fire-Rescue and the Branson Police Department to learn about how both departments keep our city safe! That same week, our upper school students had the privilege of serving at Barnabas Prep and helped to beautify their campus as they minister to young adults with disabilities.

We are grateful to live in such a beautiful city and blessed to have the opportunity to serve other ministries in the area!

Our first annual Lake Day Cookout! ☀️

Our upper school students traded the classroom for the lake last week and gathered together for good food, good conversation, and a good time spent enjoying the world God made. How blessed we are to live in the Ozarks, where the lake is just a few minutes away!

At Legacy, community isn't an afterthought; it's part of the formation. Friendships built outside the classroom are just as valuable as lessons learned within it.

It's always a good day when Legacy Academy heads to the College of the Ozarks Career Fair! Legacy was proudly represented by Kathryn Jones, Livia Flanagan, and Cade Martin who are all CofO Alumni.

FUN FACT: Many of our Legacy staff and faculty are Cofo Grads. In fact the last four teachers we have hired on are all CofO graduates! 🤩

We loved meeting so many students and are excited to welcome more CofO Grads to our Legacy community! Thank you to the Vanek Center for Vocation and Callings for the invitation!

We play hard and we learn hard, that's true paideia!

One moment, full of energy and joy on the playground. The next, focused and determined as he learns to write his numbers.

At Legacy, we believe both moments matter. Play cultivates wonder, friendship, and delight in the world God made. Focused learning builds discipline, skill, and a love of truth. Neither stands alone. Together, they shape the whole child, mind and heart.

Our fourth annual Etiquette Day! Mr. Walker shared with our students that every person we meet has value because they are created in the image of God. Etiquette is the practice of treating people with honor. What a privilege to pause in our busy schedules and remind ourselves how we are to treat one another!

Our Lady Lions are ON FIRE this week! They have had back- to-back wins in front of the home crowd!

Coach Flanagan has been playing games in PE with our K-2 that work on teamwork and cooperation. 🎉

During PE, students have been talking about what it means to encourage others and work together!

At Legacy, we believe the body is trained alongside the mind and the heart. PE isn't just about movement, it's about forming virtues like patience, kindness, and perseverance that carry far beyond the gym.

In all our classrooms, teachers will have a "Wonder" question on their board. This question aims at challenging our students in their curiosity of the world and its Creator.

On the whiteboard this week: "Why is it important for Christians to deal with our envy? Does envy only affect you?"

Some of the best learning at Legacy doesn't happen through a textbook. It happens through honest questions that ask students to look inward.

We're thankful for our teachers who create a classroom culture where students are taught to wrestle with hard questions that we hope will grow them as they continue to seek what is true, good, and beautiful.
