It's a beautiful day to be at SDC for Regional Meeting! We hope all our members enjoyed listening to Alex Demcez today and are now having a great time on the rides!

It’s time for our annual service project! With COVID-19, we are discouraging in-person volunteering, but there are many ways to use our time, skills, and resources to help the community while staying safe!

This year’s FCCLA Region 10 service project is the Rare Breed Youth Outreach Center through The Kitchen Inc. in Springfield. Rare Breed has provided at-risk and homeless youth ages 13-24 housing, education, and employment services since 2000. Additionally, the Center has showers, laundry, a computer lab, a kitchen, and so much more.

We are encouraging our schools to host drives and fundraisers to help support the Rare Breed Center and our community’s youth. Monetary donations can be made through The Kitchen Inc.’s website, and items can be dropped off at the Outreach Center or The Kitchen Inc.’s Donation Center.

Hey, Region 10! A google form was sent out to advisors over the listserv. It is replacing our spring planning meeting. Chapter members & advisors should be talking about the information on the form and then we need the forms filled out by May 15th. Hope everyone is doing well and staying healthy!

Congrats to two of our Region 10 teams who played their way to Nationals this summer in the FCCLA knowledge Bowl/LifeSmarts competition at NFC in Dallas this past weekend. The team pictured on the left is from Bradleyville. Team members are: Zoie Sims, Paitin Combs, Ethan Harmon, Abigail Pride, & Emma Hampton. The team pictured on the right is from Buffalo. Team members are: Geneva McDaniel, Damien Thousand, Colby Wise, Camron Strickland, and Makayla Strickland. Great job teams!
