Today’s chapel was led by Ms. Emersyn and Ms. Francine.
Ms. Francine shared the Bible truth of Adam and Eve using The Children’s Bible, along with beautiful illustrations that helped bring the story to life for the children.
Ms. Emersyn followed with a Bible lesson titled “God’s Greatest Creation.” She began by talking about some of the many beautiful creations God has made—sunshine, trees, flowers, oceans, and animals.
The children eagerly joined in by naming some of their favorite things that God created. Their list included Mommy, Daddy, snakes, chapel, and butterflies!
Ms. Emersyn thanked the children for sharing and agreed that all of those things were beautiful. However, she explained that they had forgotten something extra special that God made.
She then introduced a mystery box and told the children that the very special creation was hidden inside. Each child had a chance to open the mystery box. When they looked inside, they discovered a mirror—and their own reflection!
As each child discovered themselves in the mirror, their little giggles were priceless! Ms. Emersyn explained that God made each one of us special and unique. Just as God’s creations are beautiful and wonderfully made, each child is also a special part of God’s creation.
What a beautiful reminder for our children today: God made YOU special, unique, and wonderfully created!

Congratulations Ms. Tracy!!!

Congratulations to our latest cohort of educators who completed training to advance their careers in the early childhood field! Through a grant from CERCLE, ACES PDSI offered this intensive six month training program for New Haven childcare program staff to obtain their CDA credential, a foundational step toward becoming qualified educators of young children. We are looking forward to seeing them continue to grow as educators and professionals!
