First week of Day Work Day Camp went by great. The youth are learning a lot of new things and being exposed to a different style of life than they are accustomed to. Along with having fun.

Went back to the grass roots of training and learning today. No round pen, just open country. Improving this students seat. Riding ba****ck, on a hot cutting horse, with nothing but a halter and lead rope. Way to bring out the fear in one right? Lol

Test day. Periodically the students get a surprise test thrown on them to assess where they are in their training and problem solving. This is a great way to show them and teach them how they will handle problems that come up in life. We do this to expose the weaknesses and then walk them through ways to improve.

One of our students. He’s a good kid. Said making friends was tough and gave him anxiety. Horses are a love of his and there’s no anxiety there. He’s not afraid to do any task askednof him out here and he’s learning a lot. Sometimes these folks just need an outlet. We’re here to give it to them.
