July 13, 1931 - a day when Kashmir was on the boil, just as it has usually been. The scene wasn't much different from what we have seen time and again in last so many decades. The Muslims of Kashmir were agitated as usual! They wanted to set up Nizam-e-Mustafa in Kashmir, as usual! They were instigated by outside forces (British, and non-Kashmiri Muslims), as usual! Their extreme communalism was o
n uninhibited display, as usual! All their bravery and might was shown on the hapless ethnic minority (Kashmiri Pandits - ironically the aborigines of Kashmir), as usual! The mayhem spread by the Muslim Conference (founded by Sheikh Abdullah, later re-christened as National Conference), spared none in sight. The bazaars were looted, Hindus were slaughtered, not even sparing school children! The victims, as usual, were butchered, and no voice was raised for them. Not then, not yet! This page provides voice to the victims of the brutality! This page is an attempt to let the truth prevail!
