Mr. Allen shared a meaningful message with our GCA family during this morning’s announcements as we remember September 11, 2001.
"Today, we pause to remember September 11, 2001—a day that changed our nation forever. Twenty-five years ago, on a bright sunny morning much like today, 19 Islamic terrorists hijacked four airplanes. Two planes were flown into the World Trade Center in New York City. Another struck the Pentagon in Virginia. The fourth plane, Flight 93, was intended to crash into the White House or Capitol Building but brave passengers and crew fought back against the hijackers and the plane crashed in a field in Pennsylvania. Nearly 3,000 people lost their lives that day, including firefighters, police officers, military personnel, and ordinary Americans. In the days and years that followed, our nation experienced grief, fear, and uncertainty. Families mourned loved ones, first responders faced lasting health challenges, and thousands of American service members made tremendous sacrifices during the wars that followed. But September 11th also showed us something powerful: courage in the face of fear, neighbors helping neighbors, and Americans coming together to serve and protect one another. As a Christian school, we remember those who were lost, honor those who sacrificed, and pray for the families and first responders who continue to carry the effects of that day. Most importantly, we remember that even in times of tragedy, God remains our refuge and strength. As Psalm 46:1 reminds us, “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.” May we never forget September 11, and may we continue to live with courage, compassion, gratitude, and faith."

Never forget. Today we pause to remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost on September 11, 2001. We comfort the families still grieving, we honor the first responders and everyday heroes who ran fearlessly into danger. Today we teach not just history, but hope and a reminder of the courage, unity, and faith that carried our nation through.
