I never thought I needed a gun, until I was standing in the children's ministry at my church where my wife and daughter were playing and a man with a gun showed up....

I was left helpless, holding no more than a BIC pen to protect my family from the wolf. I was just like many of you. I never thought the wolf would come to my door, but he did, and I was unprepared and unequipped.

I never wanted to feel that way ever again. As a man, it was my job to protect and keep my family safe. I knew I had to take action immediately, and never let this type of situation catch me off guard again.

There is a total of 15 places where you can never have your gun. These places are simply called prohibited areas and today we will be discussing the first one, which is called Any Place of Nuisance as defined in S. 823.05.

Why I decided to get my Florida concealed weapons permit...

My entire life, my plan was to get a carry permit the day I turned 21 because I just thought it was cool. As that day drew near, I realized I might have a problem. My wife was angry and scared at the idea of having a gun in the house and around our kids. This was my fault for marrying a Canadian. ;)
