What a busy two weeks Health Science 2 has had! Ricki Moore from The Natural Science came to talk to our students about careers veterinary services. The next week we went to The Natural Science museum and learned many things such as the importance of wet lands and how horseshoe crabs help detect bacteria through targeting endotoxins. Such a fun way to introduce vet science to our students.

For the month of November, the MHSAA, in partnership with Elite Physical Therapy continues the Athletic Trainer Spotlight Program by recognizing Justin Traylor!
---
This month, we shine the spotlight on Justin Traylor with ELITE Physical Therapy. A 2011 graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi, Justin returned to Mississippi in 2017 after several years in Texas to serve as the athletic trainer for Brandon High School while also teaching in the Health Science Academy. His passion for education led him to earn a Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from Arkansas State University and transition into teaching full time.
Under his leadership, the Health Science Academy at Brandon High has become a model of success. Justin continues to care for athletes on the sidelines while inspiring and preparing the next generation of athletic trainers and healthcare professionals. Thank you, Justin, for your continued dedication to MHSAA athletes and the future of sports medicine.
